RESOLUTION NO. 2545

1 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT REGARDING
2 NEW WATER CONNECTION APPLICATIONS AND FEES FOR METERED SERVICE
3 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South
4 Tahoe Public Utility District, County of EI Dorado, State of
5 California, as follows:
6 WHEREAS, the District has made certain findings in
7 Ordinance #423 subsection IA - E; and
8 WHEREAS, based on said findings the Board has directed
9 staff to conduct certain surveys and studies regarding the
10 availability of water to serve present consumers and future
11 requests for service; and
12 WHEREAS, the staff was further directed to study the cost
13 of existing and future service for metered consumers.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Directors
15 of this South Tahoe Public Utility District does find that all
16 applications for metered water service not now permitted or
17 connected shall be reviewed by staff to determine the availability
18 of water and the cost to provide same. No new connection for
19 irrigation service will be permitted until said review is complete.
20 Said review will be based on the new data provided by staff study.
21 LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that new metered connection
22 application forms shall be completed by all applicants not now
23 permitted and connected. Said forms will contain questions

directly reflecting proposed water use for irrigation, domestic
consumption, fire demand and other ancillary projected uses and
impacts on the existing systems and services. A copy of the
Water Service Evaluation Application for said staff review is
28 attached. A final application form shall not be submitted until

1 staff review is complete and the applicant notified of the review
2 results.
3 LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that all future use granted
4 subsequent to this resolution shall comply with connecting fees
5 and service charges adopted, based on cost projections evolving
6 from the ongoing staff studies.
7 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of South
8 Tahoe Public Utility District at a duly held regular meeting on
9 the 16th day of May, 1991, by the following vote:
