RESOLUTION NO. 2302
A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT AWARDING CONTRACT
COLD CREEK WATERSHED
EROSION CONTROL PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to order of this BOARD OF DIRECTORS of
the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of El Dorado,
State of California, notice was duly given for receiving bids
for COLD CREEK WATERSHED EROSION CONTROL PROJECT, and two bids
were received at the time and place specified at 3:00 P.M.,
Wednesday, July 13, 1983, and publicly opened; and
WHEREAS, PRECISION SEEDING submitted the lowest bid, but
its bid contained two irregularities, to wit: failure to include
qualification of bidder statement and failure to include the bid
addendum; and
WHEREAS, PRECISION SEEDING is a California licensed
contractor for the performance of the work subject of the bid
and prior to award submitted a qualification of bidders statement;
and
WHEREAS, PRECISION SEEDING acknowledged receipt of the bid
addendum in its bid, prior to award submitted its agreement to
perform said bid addendum, and said bid addendum did not call for
items or conditions which affected bid price; and
WHEREAS, said BOARD OF DIRECTORS, at its regular meeting on
JULY 21, 1983, after a review of the bid of PRECISION SEEDING,
determined that the aforesaid irregularities in the bid of
PRECISION SEEDING are the type that can be waived and shall be
waived under the circumstances set forth above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of
the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado,
State of California, as follows:
(1) That the irregularities in the bid of PRECISION SEEDING
are waived.
(2) Said Board of Directors does hereby determine that
PRECISION SEEDING, 3181 Auburn, Folson Road, Newcastle, California
95658, is the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder for doing the
work and improvements, and furnishing the materials, supplies,
equipment and labor necessary for the construction of the COLD
CREEK WATERSHED EROSION CONTROL PROJECT.
(3) Said Board of Directors does hereby award said contract
for doing the work and improvements for the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT EROSION CONTROL PROJECT to PRECISION SEEDING at
the unit prices named in its bid for a total bid price of THIRTY-
SIX THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($36,745.00).
(4) The President of the Board of Directors is hereby
authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said
successful bidder PRECISION SEEDING, and to receive and approve all
bonds in connection therewith, and the CLERK is hereby directed
to attest to the PRESIDENT'S signature and affix the corporate seal
of said District, all in accordance with the specifications, contract

on file with the District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH
TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT at a duly called regular meeting
on JULY 21, 1983 by the following vote:
AYES: Directors Jones, Olson and Wynn
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: Directors L. Lowe and M. Madden
