A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT CERTIFYING THE FINAL
SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
WASTEWATER FACILITIES PLANNING PROGRAM
AND
CERTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT WHERE
APPLICABLE IN PLACE OF DISTRICT'S FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORT
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES
SOUTH SHORE LAKE TAHOE BASIN
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe
Public Utility District that:
(1) The Final Environmental Impact Report, South Tahoe Public
Utility District, Wastewater Facilities Planning Program, was present-
ed to the Board of Directors of the District on May 17, 1979, and was
certified as completed on said date, in compliance with California
Environmental Quality Act, and the State Guidelines and Local Guide-
lines adopted pursuant thereto.
(2) The Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY
k4WDISTRICT ordered the filing of NOTICE OF DETERMINATION for a portion
of said SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT Wastewater Facilities
Program, entitled: STEP III, HEADSTART PROGRAM FOR GRIT CHAMBER AND
ODOR CONTROL SYSTEM, SCREENING AND FLOW MEASUREMENT, DIGESTER
MODIFICATIONS, CHLORINATION SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS, ENGINE DRIVEN PUMP-
ING, BUILDINGS, NEW PLANT EFFLUENT PUMPS, PLANT EFFLUENT SURGE PROTEC-
TION, LUTHER PASS PUMPING STATION, EMERGENCY HOLDING BASIN RETURN
PUMPING, ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, AND INSTRUMENTATION AND
CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. C-06-1414-100 on May 17, 1979.
(3) Said NOTICE OF DETERMINATION for said STEP III HEADSTART
PROGRAM determined there was no significant effect on the environment
for said project.
(4) The NOTICE OF DETERMINATION the Board of Directors adopted
the following mitigation measure to reduce impacts of the approved
project:
Construction of capacity related plant improvements
deferred until after completion of Federal Environ-
mental Impact Statement.
(5) The Final Environmental Impact Statement, Wastewater Treat-
ment Facilities, South Shore Lake Tahoe Basin, prepared by the U. S.
Environmental Protection Agency has been completed and presented to
the Board of Directors along with Public Record of Decision for said
Environmental Impact Statement of Environmental Protection Agency and
mo ,
rtified as completed in compliance with the California Environmental
40ality Act and State Guidelines.

(6) The Environmental Protection Agency circulated said
Environmental Impact Statement for public review as broadly as
State and Local law required and gave notice meeting the standards
in the Environmental Quality Act and State and Local regulations
adopted pursuant thereto for public review. The District has given
notice that it will use the Environmental Impact Statement where
applicable in place of its Final Environmental Impact Report.
(7) The Supplemental Final Environmental Impact Report, South
Tahoe Public Utility District Wastewater Facilities Planning Program
was presented May 12, 1983.
(8) South Tahoe Public Utility District certifies said Supplemental
Environmental Impact Report, South Tahoe Public Utility District Waste-
water Facilities Planning Program, was completed in compliance with
the California Environmental Quality Act, and the State Guidelines
and Local Guidelines adopted pursuant thereto.
(9) The Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY
DISTRICT has reviewed and considered the information contained in
said Final Environmental Impact Report, said Final Environmental
Impact Statement, and said Final Supplemental Environmental Impact
Report prior to taking any other action this date relating to any
project in addition to STEP III HEADSTART PROJECT.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular adjoured meeting of the Board
of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT held on the
12th day of MAY 1983, by the following vote:
AYES: Directors Kashuba, Olsen, Jones, Wynn and Madden.
NOES: None
