A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT ESTABLISH-
ING THE ALLOWABLE SEWER UNIT CONNECTIONS DITR-
ING CALENDAR YEAR
1982
WHEREAS, the Consulting panel on L?astewater Reclamation
Plant Improvement has, in its report dated NO`7EMBER 24, 1981,
found that the existincT plant can handle the additional connections
for 1982 under the terms of the TRFA Compact and meet the present
NPDES Permit conditions with the same degree of compliance; and
WHEREAS, the District's Manager/Engineer has determined
that the remaining plant capacity is 0.197 mad or 2,125 sewer units;
and
WHEREAS, the Consulting Panel recommended that the District
inform the City of South Lake Tahoe and the County of E1 Dorado
that the District will withdraw unassigned sewer units from the
1931 Allocation Program -.s and when needed by South Tahoe Public
Utility District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the BOARD OF DIRECTORS of
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, as follows:
(1) The South Tahoe Public Utility District will
provide sewer service in calendar year 1982 to all
new residential units within the District authorized
by the TRPA COMPACT and that receive an allocation
and make sewer deposits within 30 days of assignment.
(EST. SEWER UNITS = 252 RESIDENTIAL CONNECTIONS AT
3.2 SU/CONNECTION = 806 SU)
(2) The South Tahoe Public Utility District will
provide sewer_ service in calendar year 1992 to all
new commercial unitR within the District authorizes,
by the TRPA COMPACT and that receive an allocation
and make sewer deposits on or before December 31, 1982.
(ESTIMATED UNITS = 30 SU)
(3) Sewer units from 1981 Allocation that are un-
assigned and sewer deposits not paid on or before
December 31, 1981 will be withdrawn.
(4) Further restricted the issuance of sewer permits
for any building permit which would be located in
stream environment zones or which creates land coverage
or land disturbance in excess of land capabability, as
prohibited in the Lake Tahoe Basin Dater Quality Plan
w adopted by the State Water Resources Control Board on
October 29, 1930.

(5) The SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT Board of
Directors reserves the right to assign additional sewer units
outside the Allocation Program for the purposes of:
correcting existing water Quality problems,
correction of billing accounts on existing_
connections,
providing for public facilities.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE
PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on the 3rd day of DFCEMBER 1981 by the
following vote:
AYES: Directors Olson, Kashuba, Wynn, P•ladden, Jones
NOES: None

STAFF RECOMP'ENDATIONS
The Board of Directors authorize the notification
of the City of South Lake Tahoe and the County of El Dorado
of the following:
(1) The South Tahoe PUD will provide sewer service
in calendar year 1092 to all new residential units within the
District authorized by the TRPA Compact anO that receive an
allocation and make sewer deposits within thirty (3n) days of
assignment. (Estimated sewer units = 252 residential connections
at 3.2 sewer unit/connection = 806 SU)
(2) The South Tahoe PUD willprovide sewer service in
calendar year 1982 to all neW commercial units within the District
authorized by the TRPA Compact and that receive an allocation and
make sewer deposits on or before December 31, 1982. (Estimated
units = 80 SU)
(3) Sewer units from 1981 Allocation that are unassign-
ed and sewer'deposits not paid on or before December 31, 1981
will be withdrawn.
(4) Further restricted the issuance of sewer permits for anv
buildii,i~ permit which would be located in strear, environment zones
or Which creates land coverage or land disturbance in excess of
land capability, as prohibited in the Lake Tahoe Basin ,V'ater
QualitN, Plan adopted by the State Water Resources Control T?oard
on October 29, 1930.
