A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
AND FIXING LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR FAILURE
TO COMPLETE THE WORK WITHIN TIME SPECIFIED
FALLEN LEAF LAKE
FOREST SERVICE PERMITTEES
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1979-1
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District, E1 Dorado County, California, that
WHEREAS, on August 16, 1979, this Board adopted Resolution No. 2156, A
Resolution of Intention to Make Acquisitions and Improvements, and plans and
specifications suitable for calling for bids for construction of said
improvements have been approved by this Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
1. Said Clerk is hereby directed to publish once a week for two weeks
in The Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newpaper published and circulated in the South
Tahoe Public Utility District, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for
the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and
specifications on file in the office of said Clerk, the first publication of
which notice shall be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the time fixed for
opening bids.
2. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by cash, a cashier's or
certified check payable to the order of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District amounting to ten percent (10%) of the bid, or by a bond in said
amount and payable to the South Tahoe Public Utility District signed by the
bidder and a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties who shall

justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double said
amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. The amount so posted
shall be forfeited to this District in case the bidder depositing the same
does not, within fifteen (15) days after written notice that the contract has
been awarded to him, enter into the contract to construct said improvements.
3. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of
California, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has obtained from the
Director of the Department of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate
of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holidays and overtime
work for each craft, classification, or type of workman required to execute
the contract. A copy of said prevailing rate of per diem wages is on file in
the principal office of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, to which
reference is hereby made for further particulars. Said prevailing rate of per
diem wages will be made available to any interested party upon request, and a
copy thereof shall be posted at the job site.
4. That in the event the contractor, contracting owners included, does
not complete the work within the time limit specified in the proposed contract
or within such further time as this Board shall have authorized, the
contractor or contracting owners, as the case may be, shall pay to this
District liquidated damages in the amount of one Hundred Fifty
00-
Dollars ($-;Z" ) per working day for each and every day's delay in finishing
the work beyond the completion date specified in said contract. Additional
provisions with regard to said time of completion and liquidated damages are
set forth in the specifications, which provisions are hereby referred to and
incorporated herein by reference.

6. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
` Clerk and ex officio Secretary of this District on or before
2:00 o'clock p.m. on June 16, 1980, said time being not less than
fourteen (14) days from the time of the first publication of said
notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on
said day and hour, and referred to and considered by this Board
at its meeting at 4:00 o'clock p.m. on June 19, 1980, provided,
however, that in the event that prospective bidders are unable
to inspect the work site at least ten (10) days prior to said
date and time for opening of bids, because of weather conditions
preventing access to the site, the date and time for delivery of
bids will be extended by an addendum mailed to all bidders who
have obtained plans and specifications. If the date and time
for delivery of bids is so extended, the bids will be referred
to and considered by this Board at its first regular meeting
following receipt of the bids, or at any earlier special meeting
of this Board as may be set forth in the addendum extending
the date and time for delivery of bids.

NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS

FOREST SERVICE PERMITTEES
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1979-1
Pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and the
resolution directing this notice, adopted on May 2, 1980, by the
Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, said
District invites sealed proposals or bids for the construction of
a sanitary sewage collection system complete with both ductile iron
and high density polyethylene gravity sewer mains, junctions,
cleanouts, wye branches, laterals, sewage pump station, force main
and appurtenances, as more particularly described in Resolution of
Intention No. 2156, adopted by said Board on August 16, 1979, and
the plans and specifications, which resolutions and plans and
specifications are on file in the office of the Clerk and ex officio
Secretary os the South Tahoe Public Utility District and to which
reference is hereby expressly made for a more particular description
of the work to be done,
All of said work is to be done at the places and in the par-
ticular locations, of the forms, sizes and dimensions and of the
materials, and to the lines and grades and at the elevations as
shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles and specifications
made therefor and approved by said Board on march 6, 1980.
Payments will be made in cash by said District to the
contractor in accordance with the provisions of the specifications
and on itemized estimates duly submitted in accordance therewith,
based on labor and materials incorporated into said work durin(;
the preceding month by the contractor. However, a notice is
given that a period of 30 days is given to the propert7 owners in
which to pay their assessments, and if cash collections are ~_nsuf--
ficient to meet such monthly estimates, there may be a delay in ma],-.inc.,
r' such payments until money is received from the sale of bonds issued upon the
unpaid assessments.
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code

day of June, 1980, at 1275 r4E:adowcrest Drive (P.O. Box AU), South Lake
Tahoe, California 95705, said time being at least 14 days from the
time of first publication of this notice. Bids will be publicly
opened, examined and declared on said day and hour and referred to
and considered by the Board of Directors at its meeting at 4:00 o'clock
p.m. on June 19, 1980.
SPECIAL NOTE: In the event that prospective bidders are unable
to inspect the work site at least ten (10) days prior to said date
and time for opening of bids, because of weather conditions preventing
access to the site, the date and time for delivery of bids will be
extended by an addendum mailed to all bidders who have obtained
plans and specifications from South Tahoe Public Utility District
or Gretzinger & Weatherby Inc. Prospective bidders may determine
accessibility to the site by calling Mr. Cene Eppler at the South

A copy of the plans and specifications may be obtained from
South Tahoe Public Utility District or Gretzinger & Weatherby, Inc.,
6 Court Street, Jackson, California 95642, upon deposit therefor
of $50.00, none of which will be refunded.
