,*W A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPROVING
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR NOTICE
TO CONTRACTORS FOR PROPOSAL FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF JOHNSON BOULEVARD INTERCEPTOR SEWER EXTENSION
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility
District as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District have
heretofore determined that the public interest and necessity of the District demands
the acquisition of JOHNSON BOULEVARD INTERCEPTOR SEWER EXTENSION consisting
of approximately 3,770 linear feet of 12, 15, and 18 inch gravity sewer pipe between
Ski Run Boulevard and Fairway Avenue, with all necessary appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, said District has applied to the Economic Development Adminis-
tration for Federal funds to finance said Sewer Extension, and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications and estimates of the cost of original
construction and completion by the District of said Sewer Extension have heretofore
been presented to the Board of Directors of said District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of South
Tahoe Public Utility District that
1. The plans and specifications and the cost of the original construction
and completion by the District of said JOHNSON BOULEVARD INTERCEPTOR
SEWER EXTENSION as prepared by CH2M /Hill and presented to the Board
of Directors of said District are hereby approved.
2. That the Board of Directors hereby calls for an Invitation to Bid for
sealed proposals for said Sewer Extension, said Invitation to Bid to be
in the form of Exhibit " A " attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. Said sealed proposals shall be received at the office of said District
until 2 p.m. on September 1, 1977, at which time all proposals shall
be publicly opened and read.

the South Tahoe Public Utility District on the 4th day of August, 1977, by the

INVITATION TO BID
Sealed proposals will be received at the office of
South Tahoe Public Utility District, 1275 Meadowcrest
Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California 95705 until 2 :00
P.M., September 1, 1977, at which time they will be
publicly opened and read for construction of:

EL DORADO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
JOHNSON BLVD. INTERCEPTOR SEWER ENTENSION
The work contemplated consists of furnishing and
installing approximately 3,770 linear feet of 12 -,
15 -, and 18 - inch gravity sewer pipe between Ski
Run Boulevard and Fairway Avenue.
Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifica-
tions, may be obtained at the office of South Tahoe
Public Utility District, 1275 Meadowcrest Drive, South
Lake Tahoe, California 95705 and at the office of CH2M
Hill, 1525 Court Street, P.O. Box 2088, Redding,
California 96001 upon payment, nonrefundable of $15.00
per set. Contract Documents are available for examina-
tion at the same offices.
The attention of Bidders is directed to the require-
ments and conditions of employment to be observed and
minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, on
equal employment opportunity, a Prime Contractor and sub-
contractor who signs a Contract on a federally assisted
construction project are required to take affirmative
action toward equal employment opportunity and are required
under certain conditions to present written affirmative
action programs. At preconstruction conferences, the
successful Bidder and his known principal subcontractors
shall be required to present and discuss the approach to
be taken by the successful Bidder and subcontractors to
implement the requirements of affirmative action for equal
employment and training in accordance with Executive Order
No. 11246, as amended.
No Proposal will be accepted from a contractor who has
not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 791, Statutes of 1929, as amended, or Chapter 37,
Statutes of 1939, as amended, State of California. The
South Tahoe Public Utility District reserves the right tc
reject any or all proposals.
