RESOLUTION NO. 2
A RESOLUTION MAKING DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO DRAFT
IMPACT REPORT, DIRECTING CIRCULATION OF SAID REPORT
FOR COMMENTS, ESTABLISHING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS
AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE RELATING THERETO
WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe
Utility District, El Dorado County, California, that
WHEREAS, this Board proposes to undertake a project more
particularly referred to as the South Tahoe Public Utility District
Water System Improvement Project and did authorize the employment
of a consultant for purposes of preparation of a Draft Environ-
mental Impact Report for the Project;
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the Clerk of this District
and presented to this Board a Draft Environmental Impact Report
for the Project, and the members of this Board have reviewed said
Report and each and every part thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED and DETERMINED, as
follows:
1. That said Draft Environmental Impact Report is in order
and reflects the independent judgment of the District.
2. That the Clerk of this District be, and is hereby, directed
to file a Form C -95 relating to completion of said Report with the
Secretary for the Resources Agency of the State of California.
3. That the Clerk of this District be, and is hereby,
directed to mail a Notice of Completion of said Report to all
organizations and individuals who have previously requested notice
of completion thereof, which Notice shall be in the form of Exhibit
"J" of the local environmental guidelines of this District.
4. That the Clerk of this District be, and is hereby,
directed to give public notice of the completion of said Report
by publication of a copy of the Notice of Completion thereof
_ once in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation
in the area affected by the proposed Project.
5. That the Clerk of the District be, and is hereby,
directed to cause copies of said Report to be submitted for review
and comment to all public agencies having jurisdiction by law
over the proposed project and to all public agencies or persons
with special expertise with respect to any environmental impact
involved whose comments relative to the Report would be desirable.
6. That, in submitting said Report pursuant to paragraph
five above, the Clerk be, and is hereby, directed to advise agencies
and persons receiving the Report that they may submit written
comments to the District concerning said Report within forty -
five (45) days after the date of mailing of said Report, which time
period is hereby established as the maximum review period with
regard to such Report, provided however, that this Board may
consent to an extension of such review period upon written request
thereafter by the reviewing agency or person.
7. That the Clerk of this District be, and is hereby,
directed to cause copies of the Report to be furnished to appro-
priate public libraries.
8. That the Clerk of the District be, and is hereby,
directed to cause copies of the Report to be available at the
District's office for review or acquisition by member of the
general public, provided that any person requesting a copy of the
Report from the District shall be charged the actual cost of
reproducing the Report.
9. That Thursday , the 28th day of
July , 1977, at the hour of 3 :00 o'clock P.M., in
the regular meeting place of the Board, District Office, 1275
Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California, be, and are
hereby, fixed and appointed as the time and place when and where
this Board will conduct a public hearing concerning the environ-
mental impact of the proposed Project.
10. That the Clerk of the District be, and is hereby,
directed to give notice of said hearing by publication once in the
Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in the

District, which publication shall be completed at least fourteen
(14) days prior to the date set for hearing and which notice
shall indicate that the Report is available for review in the
District office.
