A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH
TAHOE RESOURCES CONSERVATION DISTRICT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH
TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, El Dorado County, State of
California, that the Memorandum of Understanding between

SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT and TAHOE RESOURCES
CONSERVATION DISTRICT in the form attached hereto is hereby
approved, and the President is hereby authorized to execute
said Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the District and
the Clerk is authorized to attest his signature and to affix the
corporate seal of the District thereto.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
between
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
and
TAHOE RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT
THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING entered into this
day of , 1976 by and between the
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, hereinafter called
"STPUD" and the TAHOE RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT,
hereinafter called "District".
WHEREAS, areas of mutual interest exist between the City
and the District in the areas of land management, drainage, re-
vegetation and those uses and activities related thereto; and
WHEREAS, cooperation between the STPUD and the District
would benefit both parties in meeting the standards and require-
ments established by planning and regulatory agencies; in
providing property owners with assistance in land use problems,
NOW THEREFORE, these compatible objectives and areas of
mutual interest of the STPUD and the District will be met as
hereinafter set forth:

Within the limits of their authority and resources, the
District will:
1. Provide technical assistance on programs of non -point
source pollution control and drainage.
2. Review project proposals and make recommendations on
conservation and erosion control.
3. Make conservation and erosion control recommendations
on STPUD owned land.
4. Furnish general guidance on structural and vegetative
stabilization of cuts and fills.
5. Furnish the STPUD with leaflets on erosion control and
other pertinent topics for distribution.
6. Work with the STPUD on land use decisions.
7. Provide STPUD with technical information on site
selections for any public facilities.
8. Provide any related resource information requested from
the STPUD.
Within the limits of its authority, resources and policies, the
STPUD when needed will:
1. Request and consider resource conservation recommenda-
tions on programs of non -point source pollution control and drainage.
2. Request and consider conservation recommendations on
proposed projects.
Oise 3. Request and consider resource conservation recommenda-
tions on STPUD owned lands.

4. Request and consider guidance on erosion control
on cuts and fills, both structural and vegetative.
5. Make available leaflets on erosion control, soil
information and other pertinent topics.
In the event the District is unable to furnish recommendations
within a reasonable time, the STPUD will proceed without recom-
mendations of the District.
This Memorandum of Understanding shall expire on
, unless sooner terminated by any one of the
parties by giving sixty days notice in writing to the other party.
