Resolution No. 1619 RESOLUTION NO, 1619 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS OR SEALED PROPOSALS FOR PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, as follows: WHEREAS, plans and specifications and estimates of the cost of original construction and completion of PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS have heretofore been presented to the Board of Directors of said District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, as follows; 1. That the plans and specifications and the cost of original construction and completion by the District of said PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, as pre - err pared by Clair A. Hill and Associates, and presented to the Board of Directors of said District this date, and on file with said District for said PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS consisting of installing approximately 1,025 linear feet of asphalt concrete paved road with a 15 -foot pavement width, sealing existing asphalt concrete pavement surfaces and paving certain areas and walkways at the water reclamation plant site, are hereby approved. 2. That the Board of Directors hereby calls for Advertisement for Bids for sealed proposals for said PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, said Advertisement for Bids to be in the form of Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. 3. Said sealed proposals shall be received at the office of said District in South Lake Tahoe, California, at the Treatment Plant thereof (Mailing Address P. O. Box AU, Johnson Road near junction with Black Bart Avenue, South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, California 95705, until 3:00 p.m., October 14, 1971 at which time they will be publicly opened and read for construction of: SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT PAVING AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS The work contemplated consists of installing approximately 1,025 linear feet of asphalt concrete paved road with a 15 -foot pave- ment width, sealing existing asphalt concrete pavement surfaces and paving certain areas and walkways at the water reclamation plant site. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, State of California, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has ascertained the general applicable prevailing wage rates to be as shown in the Contract Documents. 4 60, ; Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications, may be obtained at the office of David W. Callahan, Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, District Office, P.O. Box AU, South Lake Tahoe, California 95705, and at the office of Clair A. Hill & Associates, 1525 Couth Street, P.O. Box 2088, Redding, California upon payment, non - refundable, of $5.00 per set. Con- tract Documents are available for examination at the same offices. No proposal will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 791, Statutes of 1929, as amended, or Chapter 37, Statutes of 1939, as amended, State of California.
