Resolution No. 1480 WJML:RJH:gb 8/31/70 8c RESOLUTION NO. 1480 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE TO APPROVE OF THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO BE ADOPTED IN PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ACQUISI- TION AND CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS UNDER APPROPRIATE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS, AND TO APPROVE OF THE BOUNDARY MAP OF THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1970 -1 RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, El Dorado County, California, that WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Board to undertake appro- priate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings for the acquisition and construction of a sanitary sewerage system in or for said District, said acquisitions and improvements being more particu- larly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Board to assess the costs of said acquisitions and improvements and the expenses incidental thereto upon an assessment district, the exterior boundaries of which are the coterminous exterior boundaries of the composite and consoli- dated area more particularly shown on a map entitled "Proposed Bound- aries of Assessment District 1970 -1" on file in the office of the Clerk of said District, which indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the proposed district and which shall govern for all details as to the extent of the assessment district, to which ref- erence is hereby made; WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience will be served by the making of said acquisitions and improvements and the levying of said assessments; a portion of WHEREAS the land to be assessed lies within incorporated terri- tory of the City of South Lake Tahoe, State of California; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows: 1. That request be, and the same is hereby, made that the form of Resolution of Intention to be adopted by the South Tahoe Public Utility District and the map indicating by a boundary line the extent of territory included in the proposed assessment district be approved by the City Council of the City of South Lake Tahoe, State of California. 2. That the Clerk of this District be, and he is hereby, di- rected to file with the Clerk of the City of South Lake Tahoe a certi- fied copy of this resolution, together with copies of the proposed Resolution of Intention and said map entitled "Proposed Boundaries of Assessment District 1970 -1." ATTEST: President South Tahoe Public Utility District Clerk and Ex officio Secretary * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and cor- rect copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, El Dorado County, California, at a meeting thereof duly held on the 3rd day of September , 1970, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Directors: Wakeman, Kortes, Fesler, Hegarty, Ream NOES, Directors: None ABSENT, Directors: None Clerk and Ex officio Secretary South Tahoe Public Utility District -2- a) The installation and construction of and the acquisition of a right of service and use in new and existing, respec- tively, sanitary sewer systems, including collection sewers, necessary pumping stations and force mains, man- holes, flushing devices, rodholes, wye branches, laterals and appurtenances, on streets and roads and in easements acquired therefor, all as may be necessary and required for sanitary sewer service for each of the parcels of land within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district, as hereinafter described; b) The acquisition, for each parcel within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district which does not have same, of a right of service and use in the existing sanitary sewerage and sewage treatment and disposal facilities of said Utili District, other than the facilities described in clause "a" hereof, which help provide service to and which are of benefit to the properties within said area; c) The acquisition of all facilities, lands and easements and the construction of all work auxiliary to any of the above and necessary to complete the same.
