RESOLUTION NO. 2677-98
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
TO RECOGNIZE
BETH QUANDT, MEYERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER,
FOR HER OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION
TO THE DISTRICT'S PUBLIC EDUCATION EFFORTS
IN THE AREAS OF WATER CONSERVATION AND EDUCATION
WHEREAS, the earth's future ecological sustainability depends largely on educating
people on how to conserve and protect our natural resources; and
WHEREAS, educating our children is one of the most important factors in ensuring

sustainability; and
WHEREAS, Beth Quandt, a teacher at Meyers Elementary School, exemplifies the
best in environmental education, instilling in her students the values that are important in
protecting our water resources; and
WHEREAS, Beth Quandt has been instrumental in the District's public education
efforts for water conservation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors and employees of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District greatly appreciate Beth Quandt's commitment to her students environmental
knowledge by encouraging creativity and a love of learning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors that we extend our
recognition and thanks to Beth Quandt for her contribution to water education and
conservation in South Tahoe;
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a duly held Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors
of the South Tahoe Public Utility District on the 21 st day of May, 1998 by the following
vote:
AYES: Directors Wallace, Strohm, Jones, Gochnauer, Mosbacher
