DECLARING AN ELECI'ION BE HELD IN ITS JURISDICTION; REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
~ERVISORS TO CONSOLIDATE WITH ANY OTHER ELECTION CONDUCl'ED ON SAID DATE;
\....-\ND REQUESTING ELECTION SERVICES BY THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS
WHEREAS, it is the determination of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District that an election be held on November 4, 1997 at which election the
issue to be presented to the voters shall be:
NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE GOVERNING BODY as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of El Dorado
is hereby requested to:
1. Consolidate said election with any other applicable election
conducted on the same day;

2. Authorize and direct the Registrar of Voters, at Goverr~ng Body
expense, to provide all necessary services which shall include; but not be
limited to:
Publish Notice of Election
Issue nomination papers
Print and mail sample ballots
Print official ballots
Provide precinct supplies
Appoint and train Election Officers
Obtain and rent polling places
Prepare voter indexes
Publish list of Election Officers/Polling places
Mail appropriate notification/verification notices for polling
places/precinct boards
Process Absentee Ballots
Provide voter count by precinct
To canvass the results of said election

PASSED AND ADOPTED on April 17, , 1997 at a regular meeting of
the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District by the
following vote:
In the event of a tie vote, the winning candidate shall be decided
