MARCH 21, 1985
The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District
met in a regular session, March 21, 1985, 4:00 P.M., 1900 Lake
Tahoe Boulevard, City Services Center.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS: President Madden,

Moved Wynn/Second Olson/Passed Unanimously
to approve as submitted:
1) Authorize purchase of an additional
250 tons of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate from
Imperial West Chemical Co. to cover usage
for the remainder of 84/85 Fiscal Year in
the amount of $29,807.50 plus tax.

Manager Cofer reported on six items:
1) Lahontan NPDES Permit - corrected his
earlier report on the District requested
Lahontan permit changes. Lahontan:
a) Kept (EPA) weekly average requirement;

b) adjusted mass loadings to be the same
as the maximum 7.5 mgd flow for the
weekly average;
c) suspended solids weekly average based
on the 7.5 mgd and adjusted 30 day
average from 2mg/1 to 3mg/1.
2) County unpaid taxes - a summary sheet
was distributed to Board members.
3) Tahoe Human Services - Flyers distrib-
uted to all employees and Board members
re workshop on drug abuse. Next work-
shop will be on stress.
4) City took action in support of Norman
Waters Bill AB914.
5) Ray Stone is new chairman of the State
Water Resources Control Board.
6) District received book from Attorney
General's office re Open Meeting Laws.
Attorney Weidman reported on six items:
1) Alpine County intervenors filed settle-
ment statement by the Marth 27th dead-
line.
2) Attended City Council meeting with Mr.
Cofer.
3) Norman Waters had received negative
calls re AB914. He is sending a letter
to Alpine County residents saying he
would not support the Bill if he was
not confident the project was safe.

Spoke with League to Save Lake Tahoe
re AB914 legislation.
Fallen Leaf Lodge connection charges
agreement was never finalized. Con-
tacted by their lawyer; basic agree-
ment will be with Bill Craven,
TRPA matter - may have a 1985 building
season.
