ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
JANUARY 21, 1986
The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District met
in an Adjourned Regular Session, January 21, 1986, 4:30 P.M., 1900
Lake Tahoe Boulevard, City Services Center.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESENT: Directors
Madden, Mason, Jones
ABSENT: Director Olson, Chairman Wynn
ROLL CALL
STAFF: Cofer, Baer, Mamath, Fischer,
Taylor, Miller, Swain, Plasterer,
Attorney Weidman

a part of these minutes by reference

BOARD ACTION
Attorney Weidman recommended to the
Board they call for a Public Hearing on
the bid protest to be held Monday,
February 3, 1986-3:00 P.M. and to adjourn
this meeting to that time. Further, he
recommended the Board cause to be advised
the protesters in writing that the Board
would receive written arguments in support
of their position and submitted to the
District Office no later than Wednesday,
January 29, 1986, 5:00 P.M. Attorney
Weidman also recommended the Board cause
to be advised the bid protesters that on
2/3/86, 3:00 P.M. the Board will consider
the protests, all written arguments, any
testimony, evidence or documents the
protesters would care to submit at that
time. And until after the Board has had a
public hearing, he would recommend the
Board take no action on awarding the bid.
We have EPA and State Board funding and
are following the Regulations calling for
a hearing at an early date to hear these
protests and to make a decision.
Moved Jones/Second Madden/Passed Unan-
imously (Olson, Wynn/Absent) to:
(1) have a Public Hearing on 2/3/86
at 3:00 P.M., City Council Chambers;
(2) accept written protests up through
1/29/86, 5:00 P.M. at the District

(3) hear and consider all written

mit at the 2/3/86 Public Hearing;
(4) advise by mail, tomorrow,
(1/22/86) of the Board action taken
this day.

Notes from Board meeting on January 21~ 1986 regarding Bid Protest
Mr. John Weidman speaking . · ·
· . .I recommend that the Board call for a hearing on the bid
protest. The hearing to be held Monday, February 3, 1986 at 3:00
P.M. (and that we adjourn this meeting until then).
I recommend that the Board cause to be advised protesters in writing
and tell them that if they wish to submit written arguments in
support of their position they should hand them to the District
office no later than Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. on January 29, 1986.
And I recommend that the Board cause to be advised the bid protesters
that on February 3, 1986 at 3:00 P.M. the Board will consider the
protest; &ll written protests and written arguments and any evidence,
testimony or documents the protesters would care to submit at that
time.
And until after you have had a hearing I would recommend that the
Board take no action on awarding the bid.
Now, we have EPA and State Board funding and we are following the

That's what I would recommend, Mr. President.
JOHN WYNN moves to do as John Weidman suggests.
WEIDMAN speaks again...Furthermore, that all protesters be advised
tomorrow in writing of the Board's action.
