MAMATH, 'CLERK OF BOARD SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT BOARD MEETING GUEST SIGN-IN SHEET: (please print) NAME. ADDRESS.. COMPLETION OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS VOLUNTARY AND NOT A PRECONDITION FOR ATTENDANCE. NOTE: To whom it may concern: We, as residents of Tahoe Paradise Addition Unit #1 including Tokochi Street, petition you, the South Lake Tahoe Public Utility District, to restore our water pressure by whatever means necessary, to normal standards. Water from our kitchen sinks is a veritable trickle at times with no water at all during the periods when (as we have been told) the airport is filling its tankers. Washing off a drive- way or patio becomes a major project with such little pressure not to mention the difficulty of having to take a shower. Dishwashing sprayers are virtually useless as they do not have the pressure behind them to function properly. Beyond the everyday inconveniences, we feel it is unfair that are rates arecommensurate with those who have very ~ood water pressure. Our bills are not prorated as to the percentaLe of pressure that we do have. But the point is that pressure any lower than the normal is just not bearable. One of our neighbors delayed the closing of his escrow as he thought there was something drastically wrong with the piumbi~g in his brand new house. It was discovered durin~ this time that the water pressure on the whole street (Tokochi) was far below normal standards. In our area having severe fire danger at times, a house could be consumed before fire trucks could arrive as a homeowner would stand there helplessly as a trickle of water drained from the hose. A house fire could lead to a forest fire wi~ich in Lake Tahoe could mean a major disa. ster~ As you may well conclude we feel very seriously about our problem and would hope that you would also consider our situation and perhaps take it to heart. Sincerely, Concerned residents We, the undersigned, as residents of Tahoe Paradise ~ddition Unit #1 including Hepka Drive, Tokochi Street and b,ink Court do hereby petition the South Lake Tahoe Public Utilities District to increase the water pressure in our area to a more reasonable level of 55 psi. Present water pressure is approximately 23 psi, which is inadequate and a constant problem and inconvenience. Name Address
