The Finance Committee met to discuss BOARD MEMBER COMMITTEE REPORTS
property insurance criteria for coverage
with ACWA. Manager Baer added he and
Nancy Hussmann planned to attend the
ACWA Executive Committee meeting on 10/9
where they will make the decision as to
whether or not the District will be al-
lowed to join their insurance program.
Director Mason asked if there was Board
consensus to have staff research the
minimal costs associated with renaming
the District. Staff was instructed to
proceed with the request.
Chairman Pierini referenced a letter
the District had received from Richard
French/Airport Director dated 9/25/92.
He felt Mr. French had misunderstood
the District's comments on the Airport
Master Plan document.
BOARD MEMBER REPORTS
Chairman Pierini also reported he had
been in contact with the president of
Lakeside Mutual Homeowners Association
and had been informed Lakeside felt
they would be exempt from the surface
water filtration rule.
Director Onysko stated he would like
to discuss the tunnel issue (consult-
ant's cost analysis) and the lead/copper
rule. He felt Carollo Engineers should
come before the Board and explain the
cost analysis figures (in the draft
report). Richard Solbrig explained the
criteria used by Carollo to produce the
figures. Later in the meeting Onysko
questioned Rick Hydrick on the lead
levels at Helen Well, asked about the
status of the A1 Tahoe Well and ques-
tioned Hydrick on the lead/copper rule.
General Manaqer:
STAFF REPORTS
Manager Baer asked for 3 Workshops on:
(1) the tunnel project, (2) the lead/
copper rule and (3) employee budget
suggestions.
It was decided to tentatively schedule
all three as agenda items at the next
Board meeting.
Manager Baer reported the lead samples
at Helen Well showed very low levels.
