SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
OCTOBER 12, 1995
The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District met in
a Special Session at 4:30 PM on October 12, 1995, District Conference
Room, 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California.

ITEMS FOR BOARD ACTION
Assistant Manager Solbrig explained that
the proposal was broken into phases
for efficiency. The first phase includes:
1) site inspection, approval of excava-
tion, underground piping, and report
writing. The second phase is to obtain
blowers and carbon scrubbers; possibly on
a six-month lease agreement. Solbrig gave
an overview of the excavation process and
estimated costs associated with the pro-
posal.
FORMER UNDERGROUND FUEL
STORAGE TANKS AT WWTP SITE
It was the consensus of the Board to
pursue reimbursement for the cleanup
from the State.
Moved Mason/Second Jones/Passed Unanimously
to approve Task Order for AGRA Earth
and Environmental, for the site restoration
in the amount of $7,100.

Solbrig explained that if the contractor
was awarded the bid, arrangements have
been made with the local asphalt plant to
haul materials there. The contractor
will have his bond posted by October 13
and will begin on excavation October 20-22,
1995. Lahontan has indicated that they
would grant an extension, if needed.

Moved Strohm/Second Jones/Passed Unanimously
to award bid to the lowest responsive,
responsible bidder, GB Construction, in the
amount of $51,924.
