09-14-95 SpecialMINUTES SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT SEPTEMBER 14, 1995 The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public utility District met in a Special Session at 1:30 PM on September 14, 1995, District Conference Room, 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California. BOARD OF DIRECTORS: President Wallace, Directors Strohm, Mason, Jones, Mosbacher ROLL CALL STAFF:. Baer, Schroeder, Attorney Sare, Hoggatt GUESTS: Joyce Blackstone ITEMS FOR BOARD ACTION Construction Manager Jim Hoggatt stated that he had requested proposals from Gelco and Pacific Liners for inspection of the B-Line from the Luther Pass Pump Station to the Alpine County line. Gelco could not meet the time frame. Pacific Liners sub- mitted a proposal in the amount of $176,350. Their proposal includes the installation of approximately six tees to perform the in- spection. They are scheduled to begin work September 25, 1995 to: install weld on tees; locate the line, excavate the pipe and pre- pare to install the tees. The B-Line will be drained on October 1, 1995 in preparation for putting in the tees and will begin per- forming the inspection on October 2, 1995. APPROVE PROPOSAL FOR TV INSPECTION Ail work should be finished by Oct. 8, 1995. In the future, it may become necessary to install an additional tee between High- way 89 and the Pump Station. If so, this work would be considered beyond the cur- rent scope of work. Attorney Sare recommended reporting the progress to Lahontan at their October 12th Board meeting. Sare also noted if the Dis- trict's appeal to the State Resources Con- trol Board is successful, the money would be dedicated to repair the pipeline.
