NO. 52 -1 RESOLVED, by the Eoard of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, El Dorado County, California, that in its opinion the public interest and convenience require; and that it is the intention of said Board to order the following acquisitions and improvements, to -wit: The construction of a sanitary sewer main with manholes and appurtenances from within the sewage pumping station site at the southwesterly end of the land between Beach Road and Meadow Road in Tahoe Meadows, thence southwesterly along an existing easement to Bijou Park Boulevard, thence southeasterly. along Bijou Park Boulevard to opposite the southeasterly part of the parcel of land designated Recreation Beach on the Map of Bijou Park, thence southwesterly along easements to be acquired herein generally to the southwesterly end of the Dist- rict with a branch southeasterly to and across U. S. Highway No. 50 along the southwesterly portion of the lands of Charles G. Johnston and Walter N. Olson, and thence northeasterly about 148 feet and southwesterly about 169 feet along said Highway, and the acquisition of said easements, and by doing such work and making such acquisitions auxiliary thereto as are neces- sary to complete same. 2. Whenever any public way is herein referred to as run- ning between two public ways, or from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are included to the extent that work shall be shown on the plans to be done therein. 3. Dorado County, California, and shall be shown upon the plans herein re- ferred to to be filed with the Clerk of said. District. 4. Ali of said work and improvements are to be construc- ted at the places and in the particular locations, of the forms, sizes, dimensions and materials, and at the lines, grades and elevations as shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles and specifications to be made therefor, as hereinafter provided. 5. There is to be excepted from the work herein described any of such work already done to line and grade and marked excep- ted or shown not to be done on said plans, profiles and specifi- cations. 6. Said Board does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said work the grades and elevations to be shown upon said plans, profiles and specifications. All such grades and elevations are to be in feet and decimals thereof with refer- ence to the datum plane of the U. S. Coast Geodetic Survey. 7. Said contemplated acquisitions and improvements, in the opinion of said Board, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said Board does hereby make the remaining costs and expenses thereof chargeable upon a district which dist- rict said Board declares to be the district benefited by said acquisitions and improvements and to be assessed to pay the re- maining costs and expenses thereof,the boundary of which district is the exterior boundary of the composite and consolidated district consisting of the parcels of land abutting on or which may be served by said improvements, all as more particularly shown upon a Map thereof on file in the office of the Secretary of said District. 8. Said Board further declares that all public streets, highways and property within said assessment district in use in the performance of a public function as ouch: shall be omitted from the assessment hereafter to be made to cover the costs and expenses of said acquisitions and improvements. 9 .. 9. Contributions will be made towards the cost and expenses of said project from the proceeds of other special assessment projects being undertaken by said district in amounts to be determined by the Board of Directors following the opening of bids for said work or during the conduct of said proceed- ings. 10. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed. six per cent (6 %) per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the Refunding Assessment Bond Act of 1935 as modified in the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of .July next succeeding ten months from their date. 11. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance of bonds, all of said acquisitions and improvements shall be done pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, as amended. 12. Reference is hereby made to the proceedings of this Board and the letter of the County Health Officer under Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code. 13. Said proposed acquisitions and improvements are hereby referred to the Engineering Offices of Brown & Caldwell, San Francisco, California, District Engineer of said District, and the person having charge and control of the acquisitions and construction of public improvements in and for said District of the kind described herein, being a competent person employed by said District for that purpose; and said District Engineer is hereby directed to make and file with the Secretary of said Dlstrict,a report in writing, presenting the following: (a) Plans and specifications of the proposed improve- ments to be made pursuant to this Resolution of Intention; - 3 - (b) Descriptioss anc maps showin the general route tn:d termini of lands and easements to be acquired; (c) Engineer)s statement of the itemized and total esti- mated costs and expenses of said acquisition and improvements and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith; (d) Diagram showing the assessment district above refer- red to, and also the boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions of land within said district as the same existed at the time of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, each which subdivisions shall be given a separate number upon said diagram; (e) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the cost and expenses of the proposed acquisition and improvements upon the several subdivisions of land in said district in propor- tion to the estimated benefits to be received by such subdivisions respectively, from said acquisition and improvements, and of the expenses incidental thereto. 14.
