Resolution No. 175 1 § ? 8 10 11 15 14 17 18 19 2O 21 ..... 22 24 28 27 28 $0 $1 BEVERLY AND WEIDMAN J~W:bjw 3.276 4/17/60 RES0n TI0 N__0. 175 A R.~SOLUTION CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR ~OT"~'~'~ "~F' ELECTI0'~ 'OF DIRECTORS 'AT LARGE NO. 3, NCo ~'~'" and'No° 5 FOR TA~O~ PUBLIC UTtLI~"'DISTRIGT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, that ~HEREAS, the "Public Utility-Dist~ct Act", as amended, which comprises Sections 15501 to 17776 of the Public Utilities Code, of the State of California, provides that there shall be a general election of directors on the first Tuesday in May every second year after the formation of the district; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows: 1. An election shall be held and is hereby~lled within the boundaries of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, to be held on Tuesday, the 3rd day' of May, 1960, for the purpose of electing Directors at Large No. 3, No. 4, and Nco ~ for said Board of Directors, at which times the names of all candidates therefor, whose candidacy have been announced, will be submitted to the qualified electors of said District. 2° Said election is hereby called and shall be held and conducted, the returns thereof canvassed, and the returns thereof declared by this Board in the manner and form now or hereafter provided by law for the holding of elections within said County except as otherwise provided in said Act° 3. Nominations of candidates for the office of Directors shall be had and made for the purpose of such election as provided' by law. 4. Candidates named in nominating papers or petitions shall be residents and registered, qualified electors ofsaid Public Utility District° 1 1 5 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 15 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 24 25 28 3O 5o There shall be one election precinct established within said District for the conduct of said election, which pre- cinct is a consolidation oF all of such State and County precincts as lie within the said South Tahoe Public Utility District, all according to and as last established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of E1 Dorado for the conduct of general elections in said County insofar as said precincts fall within the boundaries of the South Tahoe Public Utility District. Said consolidated precinct shall also include anN- other territory situate within the boundaries of said South Tahoe Public Utility District, but shall not include anN- territory within any of said precincts,as established by the Board of Supervisors, which is without said District. Saim precincts, as so fixed by said Board of Super- visors, are hereby consolidated for the purpose of said election hereby called into one precinct to be designated as CONSOLIDATED P~CINCT "A", and the polling place for said precinct and the election officers therefor are as follows: Polling Place: Inspector: Judge: Clerk: A~ERI CAN LEGION MBS. AMUNDSON 6o The p~lTs shall be opened at 1:00 o:clock Po M. of said day and shall be kept open until 6:00 otclock po M. of said day when the polls shall be closed, except as otherwise provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code. 7o A certificate of election shall be issued by said Board to the candidates elected to the office of Directors at Larg, No. 3, No° 4, and No. 5. 8. This resolution shall be published twice, once a week for two consecutive weeks, in the Tahoe Sierra Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation .printed and published in E1 Dorado County and within the boundaries of said South Tahoe Public Utility District, and posted in three public .places in the District at least ten (10). days before the date of the election.
