Resolution 2586 \., 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 \., '-' RESOLUTION NO. 2586 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT INITIATING PROCEEDINGS UNDER GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 56353(a) FOR THE REPRESENTATION OF SPECIAL DISTRICTS UPON THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF EL DORADO COUNTY AND REQUESTING ADOPTION OF REGULATIONS AFFECTING THE FUNCTIONS AND SERVICES OF SPECIAL DISTRICTS WITHIN SAID COUNTY BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South 9 Tahoe Public Utility District, County of El Dorado, State of 10 'California, as follows: 11 WHEREAS, South Tahoe Public Utility District is an 12 independent special district as defined in Government Code Section 13 56044 (hereinafter "District"); 14 15 WHEREAS, District is located in EI Dorado County; WHEREAS, the Governing Board of District desires to 16 propose representation of special districts upon the IJocal Agency 17 Formation Commission of El Dorado County and request adoption of 18 regulations affecting the functions and services of special 19 districts wi thin said county; all pursuant to Government Code 20 Section 56453(a); 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Governing Board 22 of South Tahoe Public Utility District does hereby propose 23 representation of special districts upon Local Agency Formation 24 Commission of El Dorado County. 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Governing Board of South 26 Tahoe Public Utility District hereby requests that the Local Agency 27 Formation Commission of EI Dorado County adopt regulations 28 affecting the functions and services of special districts with said \., \., 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 '-' 28 county as provided by government Code Section 56451, provided that 2 said regulations shall not apply to the extension or enlargement, 3 within the boundaries of an existing special district, of any 4 function or service currently being provided by that special 5 district, and, provided further, that no regulations affecting the 6 functions and services of special districts within El Dorado County 7 shall be adopted by said Local Agency Formation Commission which 8 are not first recommended for approval in a report submitted by the 9 Special District Advisory Committee to which the proposal is 10 referred by said Local Agency Formation Commission. 11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be 12 immediately forwarded to the Executive Officer of the Local Agency 13 Formation Commission of El Dorado County. 14 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a duly held Regular Meeting of the 15 Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District on 16 the 6th day of January, 1994 by the following vote: 17 AYES: Directors Wallace, Mason, Mosbacher, Jones, Strhom 18 NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ~W~0L~ DUANE WALLACE, PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT ATTEST, ~.:/:; i}, ~~$ PAT A.
