RESOLUTION NO. 2625
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
OF APPRECIATION TO SENATOR TIM LESLIE
FOR SUPERIOR ASSISTANCE
RELATING TO THE GRANT RECONSIDERATION
REQUEST BEFORE THE
STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
WHEREAS, on September 6, 1995, Senator Tim Leslie appeared before
the State Water Resources Control Board on behalf of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District in support of the District's request for reconsideration for additional grant
funding;
WHEREAS, upon hearing the presentation made by Senator Leslie, the
State Water Resources Control Board agreed to consider a grant increase in the
amount of $800,000 to be used for replacement of the export pipeline;
WHEREAS, by his actions, Senator Leslie has demonstrated his
commitment to the people of the Lake Tahoe Basin and to preserving the wat~rs of
Lake Tahoe;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the
South Tahoe Public Utility District does commend Senator Leslie for his successful
efforts and does hereby express its deep appreciation for his public service to the
people of South Lake Tahoe, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a duly held Regular Meeting of the Board of
Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District on the 21 st day of September,
1995.
