A Resolution of the Board of Directors of the
South Tahoe Public Utility District for
Robert F. Mason
Honoring Him for His Outstanding Service as
Distinguished Board Member
6 served on the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District from February
7 14,1984, to December 4,1997, unopposed; was Board President from 1989 through
8 1993; and Vice President from 1993 through 1996; and
9 WHEREAS, Bob served on the Operations Committee for many years and provided
10 valuable guidance in the complex operation of sewer and water utilities which will help
11 pave the way to meet the demands of the 21 5t Century; and
12 WHEREAS, Bob's leadership was instrumental in the construction of the dam in
13 Alpine County to store effluent from the Tahoe Basin, and the conversion of the District's
14 sewage treatment plant from tertiary to advanced secondary operations; and

WHEREAS, Bob never lost sight of the District's mission to meet customers water
16 and wastewater needs in an exceedingly complex world; and
17 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors, employees of
18 the South Tahoe Public Utility District and the community at large, does hereby express its
19 deep appreciation and gratitude to Director Mason for 14 years of distinguished service
20 and we wish him the very best in his retirement. Bob's common sense, leadership and wit
21 will be greatly missed by all.
22 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public
23 Utility District this 4th day of December, 1997.
