Resolution 2666-98 1 \., 2 3 4 5 6 9 10 11 12 13 '-' 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 \w RESOLUTION NO. 2666-98 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING APPLICATION FOR GRANTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS AND PROVIDING CERTAIN ASSURANCES WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has allocated $7,150,000 under the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Urban Development, and Independent Agencies to the South Tahoe Public Utility District; and 7 WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency requires 8 submission of a grant application; and WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency requires local grant matching funds of forty-five percent (45%), and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the South Tahoe Public Utility District commits Capital Reserve funds to provide the required forty-five percent (45%) grant local matching funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District that the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager and/or Chief Financial Officer are hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, for and on behalf of the South Tahoe Public Utility District an application for funds from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX, under the 1998 Appropriations Act for any agreements or other documents necessary to secure and receive a grant for costs associated with the South Tahoe Public Utility District's export pipeline replacement project. The South Tahoe Public Utility District hereby agrees and further does authorize the aforementioned representatives to certify that all applicable state and federal statutory and regulatory requirements shall be complied with.
