RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE AND
CONSTRUCT IMPROVE~ENTS
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1960 - 3
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe
Public Utility District, E1 Dorado County, California, that in
its:bpinion the public interest and convenience require, and that
it is the intention of said Board to order the following acqui-
sitions and improvements hereinafter described.
1. Whenever any public way is herein referred to as run-
ning between two public ways, or from or to any public way, the
intersections of the public ways referred to are included to the
extent that work shall be shown on the plans to be done therein.
2. Said streets and highways are more particularly shown
in the records in the office of the County Recorder of E1 Dorado
County, California, and shall be shown upon the plans herein re-
ferred to to be filed with the Clerk of said District.
3. Ail of said work and improvements are to be constructed
at the places and in the particular locations, of the forms, sizes
dimensions and materials, and at the lines, grades and elevations
as shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles and specification;
to be made therefor, as hereinafter provided.
4. There is to be excepted from the work herein described
any of such work already done to line and grade and marked excep-
ted or shown not to be done on said plans, profiles and specifi-
cations.
5. The acquisitions and improvements are described as
follows:
(a) The installation and construction of a sewer system includ-
ing 6to 18-inch collection sewers, force mains, manholes, flushing
devices, rodholes, wye branches and house laterals on the following
streets, roads and easements:
1. State Line Avenue from Lakeshore Boulevard to the
Southeasterly line of Assessment District 1960-3;
2~ Poplar Street from Manzanita Avenue to the Southeasterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
3. Aspen Street from Manzanita Avenue to the Southeasterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
4. Willow Street from Manzanita Avenue to the Southeasterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3.
5. Park Avenue from Lake Shore Boulevard to the South-
easterly line of Assessment District 1960-3;
6. Hill Road from Lake Shore Boulevard to Tamarack Avenue,
7. Lakeview Road from Hill Road to the Southwesterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3~
8. Greenwood Road from Hill Road to Park Avenue;
9. Meadow Road from Park Avenue to the Southwesterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
10. Tamarack Avenue from State Line Avenue to Park Avenue;
11. Tamarack Road from Park Avenue to the Southwesterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
12. Spruce Road from Park Avenue to the Southwesterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
13. Pine Boulevard from State Line Avenue to Park Avenue~
14. Pine Road from Park Avenue to the Southwesterly
line of Assessment District 1960-3;
15. Manzanita Avenue for its entire length; and
16. Cedar Avenue for its entire length.
(b) The making of all acquisitions and the performing of all
work auxiliary to any of the above necessary to complete the same.
6. Notice is hereby given of the fact that in many cases
said work and improvement will bring the finished work to a grade
different from that formerly existing, and that to said extent sa~
grades are hereby changed and that said work will be done to said
changed grades.
7. Said Board does hereby adopt and establish as the offi-
cial grades for said work the grades and elevations to be shown
said plans, profiles and specifications. All such grades and
tions are to be in feet and decimals thereof with reference to the
datum plane of the U. So Coast Geodetic Survey.
8. The descriptions of the acquisitions and improvements
and the termini of the work contained in this Resolution are gene-
ral in nature. All items of work do not necessarily extend for th~
full length of the description thereof. The plans and profiles of
the work and the map and~escription of the acquisitions, as con-
tained in the Engineer's report, shall be controlling as to the
correct and detailed descrip~on thereof.
9. Said Board further declares that all public streets and
highways within said assessment district in use in the performance
of a public function as such shall be omitted from the assessment
hereafter to be made to cover the costs and expenses of said
acquisitions and improvements.
10. Said comtemplated acquisi~ ons and improvements, in
opinion of the Board, are of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and said Board does hereby make the costs and expenses
thereof chargeable upon an assessment district, which district
said Board declares to be the district benefited thereby, the
exterior boundaries of which district are described as follows:
Portions of Sections 27 and
M. D. B. & M., E1 Dorado County, California.
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1, Block
First Subdivision of Lakeside Park, as recorded in Book A of
Maps, Page No. A, E1 Dorado County Records; thence North 19° 45'
East 50 feet, more or less, to the North line of State Line
Avenue; thence along said North line, East to the California-
Nevada State Line; thence along said State Line South
East to the most Northerly corner of Assessment District 1952-1;
thence along the Northwesterly line of said Assessment District,
Southwesterly to the line between Monaghan and Tahoe Meadows;
thence along said line North 44° 15' West to the Southeasterly
side of Pine Road~ thence along said Southeasterly side North
30° 28' 30" East 395 feet~ more or less, to a point which bears
South 44~ 54' 52" East from the most Southerly corner of Lot 34
of Lakeside Lodge~ as recorded in Book A of Maps, at Page No. 31~
thence North 44~ 54' 52" West 40 feet, more or less, to said
Southerly corner~ thence along the Southwesterly line of Lakeside
Lodge the following courses: North 44° 54' 52" West 708.14
feet; thence North 57° 32' 30" West 472.57 feet to the most
Westerly corner of Lot 3, Lakeside Lodge; thence continuing
North 57° 32' 30" West to the South shore of Lake Tahoe as it
existed in 1958; thence along said South shore, Northerly to the
intersection of the Northerly projection of the Northeasterly
side of Park Avenue; thence along said projection and said
Northeasterly side South 61° 00' East to the Northwesterly line
of Lakeview Road~ thence along said Northwesterly line North
19~ 45' East to the Southerly line of Hill Road; thence along
said Southerly line North 87~ 15' West to the Easterly line
of Lakeshore Boulevard; thence along said Easterly line North
19° 45' East to the point of beginning.
11. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent
the unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the rate of not to ex.
ceed six per cent (6~) per a~num, will be issued hereunder in the
manner provided in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, Divi~ on 10
of the Streets and Highways Code, the last installment of which
bonds shall mature not to exceed fUurteen (14) years from the sec-
ond day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
12. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance o~
bonds, all of said improvements shall be done pursuant to the pro-
visions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, as amended°
13. Reference is hereby made to proceedings had pursuant
to Division ~ of the Streets and ~ghways Code on file in the
office of the Clerk.
14. Said proposed acquisitions and improvements are here-
by referred to the District Engineer, being a competent person
employed by said District for that purpose; and said Engineer is
hereby directed to make and file with the Clerk of said District
a report in writing, presenting the following:
(a) Maps and descriptions of the lands and easements to
be acquired;
(b) Plans and specifications of the proposed improvements
to be made pursuant to this Resolution of Iatention;
(c) Engineer's statement of the itemized and total
estimated costs and expenses of said acquisitions and improvements
and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith;
(d) Diagram showing the assessment district above referred
to, and also the boundaries and dimensions of the respective sub-
divisions of land within said district as the same existed at the
time of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, each of which
subdivisions shall be given a separate number upon said diagram;
(e) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs
and expenses of the proposed acquisitions and improvements upon
the several subdivisions of land in said district in proportion to
the estimated benefits to be received by such subdivisions,
respectively, from said acquisitions and improvements, and of the
expenses incidental thereto.
15. If any excess shall be realized from the assessment it
shall be spent for the maintenance of said acquisitions and improve!
ments, unless the Board shall hereafter determine that said amount
any part thereof shall be applied as a credit to each assessment
herein.

The foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a Resolu-
tion which was duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the Board~
of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, E1 Dorado
