Resolution No. 303 w w:jH :gc 5/2 /81 8c RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~ A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1961-1 RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, E1 Dorado County, California, that WHEREAS, the said Board did, on the 16th day of March, 1961, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 287 to order the in- stallation and construction of sanitary sewer mains, house laterals manholes, flushing inlets, tees, risers, pumping station and appur- tenances in said District, all as more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THEREFORE, the Clerk of the District is hereby di- rected to publish once a week for two weeks in the Lake Tahoe News, a newspaper published and circulated in said District, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on File in the office of said Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for open- ing bids. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the District amounting to ten per cent of the bids, or by a bond in said amount and pay- ~ble to said District signed by the bidder and a corporate surety ~r by the bidder and two sureties who shall Justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be for- feited or said bond shall become payable to said District in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the District. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the Secretary of this District on or before 10:00 o'clock A.M., on the 6th day of July, 1961, said time being not less than fourteen days from the time of the first publication of said notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and hour and considered by the Board at its meeting at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on July 6, 1961.
