The South Tahoe Public Utility District Board of Directors regularly meets the first and ihird Thursday of each month.A complete
Agenda packet is available for review at the meeting and at the District office during the hours of 8:00 a.m.and 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.A recording of the meeting is retained for 30 days after Minutes of the meeting have been approved.

ITEM- PROJECT NAME: 2015 Luther Pass Pump Station Power and Control Project
REQUESTED BOARD ACTION: Award contract for the project to the lowest responsive,
responsible bidder.
DISCUSSION: On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, three general contractors attended the
mandatory pre-bid meeting for the above project. The work included in this project
primarily includes replacement and upgrade of existing electrical, instrumentation and
control systems at the Luther Pass Pump Station.
(1) The District held a p�blic opening of electronic bids at the District office on
Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 4:00 p.m.Three bids were received, ranging from
$3,749,250 to $4,752,900, as detailed in the attached summary. The Engineer's estimate
for this project is $3,875,000. After subtracting the value of the alternative bid items (not
considered in the award of the bid), Vinciguerra Construction is the apparent low
bidder. Staff is in the process of reviewing the three lowest bids for conformance with
bidding requirements, including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Good-Faith
Effort. Staff will provide analysis and recommendation for bid award at the Board
Meeting.
