RESOLUTION NO. 493
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT CALL-
ING FOR NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS FOR SEALED
PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC
UTILITY WORKS - WATER RECLAMATION PLANT,
NEW PUMP STATION, AND YARD PIPING
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE
PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, E1 Dorado County, California, as follows:
t. That the Board of Directors hereby calls for a
notice to contractors for sealed proposals for construction of a
new water reclamation plant having a nominal initial capacity of
two and one-half million gallons per day, a new pump station
addition at the plant and installing yard piping, said notice to
contractors to be in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto and
made a part hereof.
2. Said sealed proposals shall be received at the office
of said District in South Lake Tahoe, California, at the treatment
plant thereof (mailing address, P. O. Box $25, Bijou, California)
until 3:00 o'clock P. M. on April 23, 1964, at which time all
proposals shall be publicly opened and read.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of
Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on March 19,
1964, by the following vote:
AYES: Directors Clarke, Wakeman, Fesler~ Stewart and
Kortes

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed Proposals will be received at the Office of the Clerk, South Tahoe
Public Utility District, Treatment Plant, Tahoe Valley, California (Mailing
address, P. Oo Box 825, Bijou, California) until 3 p.m., Thursday, April 23,
1964, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for construction of:
WATER RECLAMATION PLANT
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
BIJOU, EL DORADO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
The work consists of the construction of a new water reclamation plant having
a nominal initial capacity of 2-1/2 million gallons per day, a new pump station
addition at the plant, and installing yard piping.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the South
Tahoe Public Utility District has ascertained the general applicable prevailing
wage rates as shown in the Specifications.
Plans and Specifications and forms of the Contract Documents may be seen and
sets of Plans and Specifications may be obtained at the South Tahoe Public
Utility District Office, Treatment Plant, Bijou, California, or from Clair A. Hill
and Associates, 1525 Court Street, Redding, California upon payment therefor
of $30.00 per set, not refundable.
No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accor-
dance with the provisions of Chapter 791, Statutes of 1929, as amended, or
Chapter 37, Statutes of 1939, as amended.
NONDISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT:
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive
Order No. llll4 and the provisions of Executive Order No. 10925 as included
therein. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are
explained in the Specifications.
The South Tahoe Public Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all
bids.
