RESOLUTION NO o 5 1 3
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1964-1
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe
Public Utility District, E1 Dorado County, California~ that
WHEP~EAS, the said Board did, on the 19th day of March~
196~, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. ~97 to order the in-
stallation and construction of sanitary sewer mains, house later-
als, manholes, flushing inlets, tees, risers, pumping station and
appurtenances in said District, all as more particularly described
and set forth in said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Clerk of the District is hereby di-
rected to publish once a week for two weeks in the ~.~ T~HOE
NEWS , a newspaper published and circulated in said District,
a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction
of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifica-
tions on file in the office of said Clerk, the first of which
publications shall be at least fourteen days prior to the time
fixed for opening bids.
Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check payable to the order of the District amounting
to ten per cent of the bids~ or by a bond in said ~nount and pay-
able to said District signed by the bidder and a corporate surety
or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any
officer competent to administer an oath, in double said amount
and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be
forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said District in
case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days
after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him,
enter into a contract with the District.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
Secretary of this District on or before 10:00 o'clock A.M., on
the '2,~/ day of July, 1964, said time being not less than four-
teen days from the time of the first publication of said notice.
Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day
and hour and considered by the Board at its meeting at 8:00
o'clock P.M. on July _2a~_, 1964o

C. F. BRANDI, being duly sworn according to law, deposes
and says: THAT he is and at all times herein mentioned was
a citizen of the United States over the age of 21 years and
that he is not a party to, nor interested in the above entitled
matter; that he is the printer of LAKE TAHOE NEWS, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, duly adjudicated
by the Superior Court of the State of California in and for
the County of E1 Dorado, in proceedings No. 8805 by decree
filed July 26, 1956, to be a newspaper of general circulation
in the Judicial Township of Lake Valley and in the County
of El Dorado and in the State of California.
That the notice annexed hereto was printed and pub-
lished in said newspaper in type not smaller than nonpareil,
preceded with words printed in blackface type, not smaller
than nonpareil, describing or expressing in general terms the
purpose or character of the notice intended to be given, and
said notice has been published in each regular and entire
issue of said newspaper and not in any supplement thereof
on the following dates, to-wit:
