A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION TO SENATOR THOMAS H. KUCHEL
FOR THE COURTESIES AND CONSIDERATIONS SHOWN THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS DURING THEIR MISSION TO WASHINGTON, D.C. FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROCURING FEDERAL FUNDS TO EXPEDITE AN
EXPORT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, United States Senator Thomas H. Kuchel has concerned
himself with the sewage problems of Lake Tahoe; and
WHEREAS, Senator Kuchel took time from his busy work schedule
to recognize these problems as they related to the program of the
South Tahoe Public Utility District; and
WHEREAS, Senator Kuchel met with the Directors and Engineer of
the South Tahoe Public Utility District during the week of October 11,
1965 to discuss the program; and
WHEREAS~ Senator Kuchel was sympathetic to the situation and
promised his full support in the obtaining of funds for the Districts
program.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of
the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado, State of
California, as follows:
1. The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District expresses its appreciation to United States Senator Thomas H.
Kuchel for the privileges and courtesies extended them on their visit to
Washington, D.C., during the week of October 11, 1965.
2. The Board further expresses its appreciation to Senator
Kuchel for his sympathetic attitude toward the problems confronting this
District and his willingness to support its program by helping with any
Federal Grants that may be made available.
3. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Senator
Kuchel and copies be released for the press, radio and television.

The foregoing is a full, true and correct copy
of a RESOLUTION which was duly and regularly adopted at a
meeting of the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public
Utility District, El Dorado County, California, duly held
on the 21st day of October 1965, by the following vote
of the members thereof:
