Resolution No. 576RESOLUTION NO. 5 7 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTH T~7:tOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT DECLARING ITS INTENT TO EXPORT SEWAGE EFFLUENT OUT OF THE LAKE TAHOE BASIN WHEREAS, recent studies have indicated that land disposal methods now being employed within the LAKE TAHOE BASIN are not adequate to protect the purity of the Lake, and; WHEREAS, the Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT have determined that the most desirable solution for the sewage problems at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe is to construct a sewage trans- portation facility for the transportation of treated effluent out of the SOUTH LAKE TAHOE BASIN, and; WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted Chapter 1386, Statute of 1965, and; WHEREAS, the aforementioned act requires local agencies to submit to the State a clear declaration of intention to carry out the purposes of said act by October I, 1965, now; THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC LrrlLITY DISTRICT that it is our intention to carry out the purposes of Chapter 1386, Statue of 1965.~~(~li ' .~¢~~;~. ·" ~.~. ~_~¢~/~-'~/~_ . ~Sn~ld L.
