A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ~RESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT TO
ISSUE A LETTER TO FOREST SUPERVISOR, EL DORADO NATIONAL
FOREST, STATING THAT THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY
DISTRICT HAS AGREED TO PROVlBE SEWAGE SERVICE TO EL
DORADO NATIONAL FOREST SERVICE AREAS WITHIN THE SOUTH
TAHOE SEWER SERVICE AREA SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT, El Dorado County, State of California, as follows:
I. That the President of the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE
PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT be, and he is hereby authorized to issue a letter
to Forest Supervisor, El Dorado National Forest, U. S. Department of
Agriculture, stating that the South Tahoe Public Utility District has
agreed to provide sewage service to El Dorado National Forest Service areas
within the South Tahoe Public Utility District Sewer Service area subject
to conditions; which said letter is attached to this said Resolution and
incorporated herein by reference.
PASSED and ADOPTED at a ~peolat meeting of the Board of
Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on 25th
day of AUGUST

The SOuth Tahoe Public Utility District has agreed to provide sewage service
El Dorado National Forest Service areas within the South Tahoe sewer servlce
area. Sewage service wi I1 be provided subject to the following conditions:
If Forest lanes are annexed to the District, the normal annexa-
tion fee will be waived.
The Forest Service will provide or pay for construction of ali
necessary sewers, pump stations and force mains reauired to
serve National Forest developments; thes~ sewerage facilities
will be desig~ed and constructed in accordance with District
standards for such work·

Maintenance a~d ooeration of sewage collection~ treatment and
disposal systems will be provided by the District. Service
fees therefor to the United States will be based on the volume
of sewage from developments maintained and operatea by the
Forest Service. Service fees to Forest Service permittees
shall be on the same basis as fees charged to other users
similarly situated within the District and will be collected
by the District from such permittees. The service fees to
the United States will be determined on a basis which will
equitably reflect the proportion of the use of such facillties
by the Forest Service.

This fee is to be based on a ratio of the Forest Service capaclty rights
to the design capacity of the above facilities constructed by the
District from general obligation bonds. No future con~ection charges
will be made as other facilities are connected provided the ratio of
Forest Service capacity does not exceed design capacities by more than
5 percent. No connection fee shall apply to the Forest Service capacity
right in the Treatment Plant, Luther Pass Pipeline Disposal System, or
other facilities which will be financed in part by Federal Grants under
P. L. 89-136, or to facilities which have received, or will receive,
financial contributions under other Federal Grant programs.

The initial Forest Service capacity right in the District
sewerage system shall be the following:
a. Treatment apd Disposal System - a capacity of
0.4 million gallons per day.
b. District sewers and pump stations - a capacity
of 0.8 million gallons per day.
6. Additional treatment and disposal capacity may be obtained
by the Forest Service, if requested, in the District's
sewerage system when the District's Treatment and Disposal
System is again expaned beyond the presently planned capacity.
The District requests you notify the U. S. Department of Commerce, Economic
Development Administration, that the Forest Service does agree with the
proposed conditions of service, so that the contracts for the Treatment
Plant Addition and Luther Pass Pipeline may be awarded.
