RESOLUTION NO. 868
A RESOLU~QN REQUESTING CONSENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CIT~>~F SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS
AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE COSTS SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON
THE DISTRICT BENEFITED, UNDER APPROPRIATE SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1967-5
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public
Utility District, E1 Dorado County, California, that
WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Board to undertake appro-
priate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings for the
acquisition and construction of a sanitary sewerage system in and
for said District, said acquisitions and improvements being more
particularly described in Exhibit '~A" hereto attached and incor-
porated herein by reference;
WHEREAS, is is the intention of this Board to assess the

cental thereto upon an assessment district, the exterior bounda-
ries of which are the coterminous exterior boundaries of the
composite and consolidated area more particularly shown on a map
thereof, which indicates by a boundary line the extent of the
territory included in the proposed district and which shall govern
for all details as to the extent of the assessment district, to
which reference is hereby made;
WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience will be served
by the making of said acquisitions and improvements and the levying
of said assessments;
NOW~ THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1o That request be, and the same is hereby made that the City
Council of the City of South Lake Tahoe, being the legislative body
having jurisdiction of the territory in which said work is to be
done and said assessments are to be levied, grant to this Board its
consent, expressed by resolution, to order the acquisition and con-
struction of said sewers in the whole or any part of the streets
in or for said District and to provide that the costs may be assessed
upon the properties benefited thereby°
2o That said Council, in said resolution, grant to this Board
its consent to open all such public streets as are required for the
inStallation of said sewers, said work to be done under the direction·
of the District Engineer, and to the satisfaction of the Director of
Public Works of said City, and in conformity with good engineering
practice° Said Engineer shall require of the contractor that all of
the provisions of the specifications approved by this Board be com-
plied with to the end that no greater amount of ditches are opened at
any time than is necessary, that they shall be adequately lighted and
barricaded, that they shall be promptly backfilled, and that the sur-~
face of the streets shall be restored with materials of like quality
and character as those existing therein at the time of such work, and
to its former condition and state of usefulness as nearly as may be.

A. The installation and construction of a sanitary
sewer system, including collection sewers, necessary pump-
ing stations and force mains, manholes, flushing devices,
rodholes, wye branches, laterals and appurtenances in
Freel Peak Avenue from Tulare Avenue northerly to its
intersection with Los Angeles Avenue, in Tulare Avenue,
Bigler Avenue, Cave Rock Avenue, Star Lake Avenue, Cold
Creek Avenue and Trout Creek Avenue from Freel Peak Ave-
nue easterly to Harrison Avenue, in Los Angeles Avenue
from a point westerly of Freel Peak Avenue easterly to
Harrison Avenue, and in Harrison Avenue from Tulare Ave-
nue northerly to a point northerly of Los Angeles Avenue,
and in such public utility easements as may be necessary
to serve all of the parcels in the assessment district,
and together with any extensions required to connect to
existing sanitary sewer lines of South Tahoe Public
Utility District;
B. The acquisition within said boundaries of a
right of service and use in the existing sanitary sewer-
age and sewage treatment and disposal facilities of said
District which help provide service to and which are of
benefit to the properties within said area;
C. The acquisition of all facilities, lands and
easements and the construction of all work auxiliary to
any of the above and necessary to complete the same.
