Re: Applications #18021, 18030, 18031, 18038, 18039,19629
rte_
Gentlemen:
Referring to the above numbered applications of Meyers Water Com-
pany, -the last -one to ppropriate'water, and `the first fiverto
to
change the place of use: Should not Application 19629 be included
in the petition` to change?
Itis noted that a large acreage is named in the petition which
is not included in any one of the six applications, yet the peti-
tion states that no more water will be used on the new area than
would have been used on the original areas specified.
Approximately 4320 acres are specified in the new area which it
is asked to be named in any order resulting from the petition.
Assuming that this area will all be cut up -into 22 acre lots, and
applying the state standards for water use, it is found that
around 3 cubic feet per second would supply the entirearea for .
domestic use. This is assuming four persons per lot and 50.00
sq. ft. of lawns per lot irrigated. Yet the amount'of water named
in all six applications is 16.83 -cubic feet per second plus -510
acre feet per annum. storage.
El Dorado -County has no water filings which would be affected and
therefore is not in a position to protest on that ground. As a
matter of public -policy, however, this Board -is interested and it
is requested that it be kept informed of all developments in the
case, including any hearingswhIch may be held.
It is suggested; however, that5thepLalifornia-Nevada Interstate
C
Compact Commission be notified and sent copies of all notices:
