Re: Gardner Mountain Water Co. Application #23502
Gentlemen:
This letter is in reply to the protest filed by the Placer County Water
Agency for the above named application.
The amount of water filed in our application is considered the minimum
amount to be required by the four public utilities listed in the place
of use. We are asking for this water for existing public utilities
commission certificated service areas. No consideration was given to
new or proposed service areas. Considering the size of our existing
service areas, we consider the filing very conservative.
In regards to the filing by the City of South Lake Tahoe, we know little
about it except for the amount. It should be noted, however, that the
City of South Lake Tahoe is not presently in the water business and a
large portion of their filing duplicates our place of use.
It should be further noted that, at their regular meeting on AugustU18,
1970, the City Council unanimously endorsed our filing. By this action
they automatically deducted the amount of our filing from their own
application.
Very truly yours,
GARDNER MOUNTAIN WATER CO.
