Mr. Stanley Martin of Angora Water Company visited me on
June 21, 1971, to be assured that he is not overlooking any action
that he should be taking. He is concernedabout timing because
Angora Water Company as well as the others involved with Tahoe
Paradise Water and Gas Company filings are hard pressed for addi-
tional water supplies. Obtaining these supplies by drilling more
wells is expensive and would utilize the financial resources on tap
which could be used to develop their systems for use of water from
Lake Tahoe.
The wells have proven to be a costly source of supply and
groundwater levels are declining.
