Kouyoumdjian, Enclosed is the South Tahoe Public Utility Dist rict's 2019 3rd quarter self-monitoring report for July through September 2019. The District is reporting as required by the Wastewater Reclamation Permit (Board Order R6T-2004-0010A3 , WDID No . 6A095900700). Wastewater Reclamation Permit (Board Orde r R6T-2004-001 OA 1 ). The effluent met all the requirements set forth in the Board Order for this quarter; there were no violations . Emergency Retention Basin (ERB) No wastewater was pumped to the ERB duri ng this quarter. There was no wastewater remaining in the ERB on September 30 , 2019 . The ERB was inspected on July 10 , 2019 , on August 6 , 2019 and on September 25 , 2019; the reports are attached . Export Pipeline The District's Final Effluent Export Line was not inspected this quarter. Wastewater Reclamation Permit Compliance This monitoring program provides for continuous surface water monitoring , except during the months of December, January and Febru a ry wh e n only SW-0 1, SW-05 , and SW-06 are monitored. LRWQCB -Page 2 Operational Problems or Major Maintenance Activities Modifications and operational problems occurring during this quarter are detailed in the section titled Operational Problems and Major Maintenance Activities in this report. Start-up, testing and training has begun. • Headworks Facility Odor Scrubber had its activated carbon changed by the maintenance department. This is done approximately every 18 months. • The District continued utilizing control system upgrades at the Luther Pass Pump Station to shift export pumping to off-peak electricity rate periods in order to save energy costs. ' • The District continued preventive maintenance activities on the Air Relief valves on the export pipelines and influent fo~ce mains. • The District is coordinating with Liberty Utilities for procedures and plans in the event of Public Safety Power Shutdowns. Wastewater Conveyance System • Sewer Pump Stations o Pope Beach Sewer Pump Station Tank #1 and Tank #2 cleaned in preparation of heavy use. o AL Tahoe Sewer Pump Station Pump #3 pulled in order to de-rag. o Bijou Sewer Pump Station force main drains repaired. o Luther Pass Pump Station Pump #1 had new bearings installed on inboard and outboard sides. o Al Tahoe Sewer Pump Station Pump #3 wear rings were pulled and replaced. o Trout Creek Sewer Pump Staticm Pump #2 pulled and debris cleaned out on two separate occasions. o Stanford Sierra Camp bathrooms cleaned and repaired, along with Stanford Camp staff, after they:were found leaking onto Tennis Courts. o Venice Sewer Pump Station V~ughan chopper cutter bars adjusted at Pumps #1 and #2. o Bijou Sewer Pump Station Vaughan chopper cutter bars adjusted at Pumps #1 and #3. o Bijou Sewer Pump Station Pump #3 pulled out in order to clean the impeller. ; o Luther Pass Pump Station Pump #1 aligned with motor. Martech came in a week later to check alignment. o Ponderosa Sewer Pump Station water system had Reduced Pressure (RP) device installed. ! o Tahoe Keys Sewer Pump Stati<;m had Bio Char odor scrubber installed as part of pilot study. o Stateline Sewer Pump Station Pump #1 and #2 replaced. o Bijou Sewer Pump Station 12' line flushed of debris. • Collection System o 120 feet of Sewer Mainline were replaced on Larch St. o 220 feet of Sewer Mainline and 4 laterals were replaced and/or repaired in Geronimo Ct. o Extensive videoing of sewer mains continued. Alpine County Disposal Facilities • There were no modifications or additions to, or any major maintenance or construction conducted on, or any major problems occurring at the disposal facilities in Alpine County for July -September.
