Resolution No. 1131RESOLUTION NO. 1131 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR BIDS., WELL NO. 2 BE IT RESOLVED, by 'the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, a s follows: WHEREAS, plans and specifications and estimates of the cost of original construction and completion by 'the District of 'W'ell No. 2 have heretofore been presented to 'the Board of Directors of said District; NOW, THEREFORD, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, as follows: 1. That the plans and specifications of the cost of original construction and completion by the District of said Well No. 2, as prepared by Clair A. Hill and Associates, and presented to the Board of Directors of said District 'this date, and on file with said District for Well No. 2 , consisting of drilling, casing, and testing a well; furnishing and installing a pump with motor, controls, and appurtenances; furnish and install approximately 290 lineal feet of wire and conduit; construct approximately 150 lineal feet of 2-inch water main; and construction of a concrete masonry pump building, are hereby approved. 2. That the Board of Directors hereby ascertains 'the general prevailing ra~-e of per diem wages for each craft, classification or type of workmen needed to execute the contract for the construction of said Well No. 2, to be those rates of per diem wages set forth in the plans and specifications presented to the Board of Directors of said District this date. 3. That the Board of Directors hereby calls for a Notice to Contractors for sealed proposals or Bids for Construction of said Well No. 2, said Notice to Contractors 'to be in the form of Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, located at the Treatment Plant, South Lake Tahoe, California, (Mailing Address: P.O. Box AU, South Lake Tahoe, E1 Dorado County, California 95705) until 3:00 p.m., August 1, 1968 at which time they will be publicly opened and read for construction of: WELL NO. 2 SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT The work contemplated consists of drilling, casing, and testing a well; furnishing and installing a pump with motor, controls, and appurtenances; furnish and install approximately 290 lineal feet of wire and conduit; construct approximately 150 lineal feet of 2-inch water main; and construction of a concrete masonry pump building. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, State of California, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has ascertained the general applicable prevailina wage rates to be as shown in the Specifications. ~ Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications, may be inspected at the following locations: South Tahoe Builders Exchange, Highway 89, Tahoe Valley; Reno Builders Exchange, 310 South Wells Avenue, Reno, Nevada; the Office of the Clerk, South Tahoe Public Utility District, and the office of Clair A. Hill & Associates, 1525 Court Street, Redding, California. Copies may be obtained at the office of Clair A. Hill & Associates at no charge. No proposal will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 791, Statutes of 1929, as amended, or Chapter 37, Statutes of 1939, as amended, State of California. The South Tahoe Public Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Dated: July 18, 1968 David W. Said sealed proposals shall be received at the office of said District in South Lake Tahoe, California, at the Treatment Plant thereof (Mailing Address, P.O. Box AU, South Lake Tahoe, California 95705), until 3:00 P.M., August 1,, 1968, at which time all proposals shall be publicly opened and read.
