WEIDMAN territory proposed to be annexed is "South Tahoe Public Utility District Annexation No. 1968-2"; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited territory as defined in Section 56045 of the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the reasons for the proposed annexation are: The District has been requested to provide sewage treatment and disposal services in said territory; sewage treatment and disposal services in said territory are urgently needed a~d required to protect the clarity of Lake Tahoe and permit the continued use, as well as the future use of said territory; the Distric~ can adequately and econor~ically furnish said services to said area; no other governmental agency is now able to furnish said services to said territory, and there is presently no prospect that any other such agency will be able to furnish such services within the reasonably foreseeable future; and W~EREAS, the terms and conditions of the proposed annexation are attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT B, and made a part hereof. ]'~OW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: 1. Eight o'clock P. ~'~.~i., July 30, 1968, at the S0uLh Tahoe Public Utility District Office, Johnson ~oad, near Black Bart, South Lake Tahoe, E1 Dorado County, California, is fixed as the time, date of place of hearing on the proposed a~nexation theretofore described as "South Tahoe Public Utility District Annexation ~o. 1968-2". 2. Any interested person desiring to make written protest against said annexation shall do so by writte~ co?~wmunication filed with the Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District not later than the hour set for the hearing. A written protest by a landowner shall contain a description sufficient to identify the land owned by him. A protest by a e voter shall cot"~ta:i.n 'the residental address of such voter. 3. The Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District shall give notice of said hearing by publication in The Tahoe Tribune, a uewspaper of general circulatio~-~ published within the South Tahoe Public Utility District, pursuant to Section 6066 of the Goverrnr. er~t Code of the State of California, which said notice shall be commenced at least fifteer~ (15) days prior to 'the date specified herei?~ for hearing. ~. The Clerk of South Tahoe Public Utility Diszrlct shall post notice of said hearing o~ or near the doors of the meeting room of the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District for said heari~'~g, or upon any bulletin board customarily used for the purpose of posting public notices by or pertaining to the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District· Said posted ~'~otice shall remain posted for not less than five (51 days and shall be co~nenced at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date specified herein for hearir~.g and shall continue until the time of hearir~g. 5. The Clerk of South Tahoe Public Utility District shall also give mail notice of the time, date and place of hearing on the proposed annexation to all landowners owr~ing lead within the territory proposed to be annexed as defined i~'~ Sectio~ 560~6 of the Government Code of the State of California. Said Clerk shall also give said mail notice to all persons a~-~d counties, cities or districts, which have theretofore filed a written request for special notice with the Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District. Seid mail notice shall be sent first class and deposited, postage prepaid, in the United States mail. Any payment of a fixed or determinable amount of money, either as a lump sum or in installments, for the acquisition, transfer, use or right of use of all or any part of ~he existing property, real or personal, of the District, shall be made as follows: (a) A lump su_m paym. e~.,t shall be made in cash to the District prior to the time that cor~nection to the District sewer system is mmde, subject to sub-paragraph 1. (c) herein. (b) Installment payments shall be made if a.n agreement is duly executed with the District prior to the time that connection to the District sewer system is made, subject to sub-paragraph 1.(c) herein. in lieu of any payment set forth in (a) or (b) above, all or ar:y part of such payment shall be made, at bhe election of District, through the formation of a new oimprove~ent district or districts and/or zone or zones or the annexation or detachment of territory to or from any existing i, mpr,o, vement district or districts and/o~ zone or zones at the time funds are required to be paid by cash and/or bond sales to said improvement district or districts and/or zone or zones. 2.
