The District is reporting as required by the Wastewater Reclamation Permit (Board Order R6T-2004-0010A3, WDID No. 6A095900700). Wastewater Reclamation Permit (Board Order R6T-2004-0010A1). The effluent met all the requirements set forth in the Board Order for this quarter; there were no violations. Emergency Retention Basin (ERB) A total of 1.21 MG of wastewater was pumped to the ERB on October 1 , 2018. This was done at the tail end of a plant upset which has since been resolved. The ERB was drained back to 0 MG during the first week of October 2018. There was no wastewater remaining in the ERB on December 31, 2018. The ERB was inspected on October 13, 2018, on November 5, 2018 and on December 12, 2018; the reports are attached. Export Pipeline The District's Final effluent export pipeline route was not inspected this quarter. Wastewater Reclamation Permit Compliance This monitoring program provides for continuous surface water monitoring, except during the months of December, January and February when only SW-01, SW-05, and SW-06 are monitored. LRWQCB - Page 2 Operational Problems or Major Maintenance Activities Modifications and operational problems occurring during this quarter are detailed in the section titled Operational Problems and Major Maintenance Activities in this report. Notes Sampling and analysis problems for offsite sample locations are listed in the Sample Comments section. This was done to save on energy costs. • The 2 year, $6.4 million dollar construction project to replace Break Point Structure and to replace Plant Emergency Generator continued. Expected completion date is the summer of 2020. • The District is in the process of installing additional instrumentation at the Waste Water Treatment Plant to increase the electrical efficiency of the aeration process. Wastewater Conveyance System • Sewer Pump Stations o Tank #1 at Luther Pass Pump Station was drained and inspected. o Rotating element at Pump #2 at Upper Truckee Sewer Pump Station,was removed and replaced. o Transducer which reads sewer level in Wet Well at Gardner Sewer Pump Station was replaced. o Carbon in the odor scrubber at Lake Tahoe Sewer Pump station was replaced. o Drive-Line on Pump #2 at Upper Truckee Pump Station was replaced. o Force Mains at Johnson/Bijou Sewer Pump Stations were flushed. o Force Main at Upper Truckee Pump Stations was flushed. o Flow Meter at Ponderosa Sewer Pump Station was replaced. o Tesco Panel at Al Tahoe Sewer Pump Station was re-programmed. o Pump #2 at Ski Run Sewer Pump Station was pulled and inspected for blockage. • Collection System o 39 Sewer Main repairs were conducted using UV cured liners inside sewer mains. These repairs were to correct cracks, fix joint separations and in order to abandon unused sewer laterals. o 2 sections of Gravity Sewer Main were replaced at Apache Ave. by the Tom Haen Company. District crews replaced a 10' section. Main runs to Upper Truckee Pump Station. Alpine County Disposal Facilities • There were no modifications or additions to, or any major maintenance or construction conducted on, or any major problems occurring at the disposal facilities in Alpine County from October thru December 2018.
