Injured, not killed? Shannon reported in MOE Map that he didn’t make it. Can you please let me know, as I am working
with Milan (who was on‐site at the time), and I don’t want to be spreading misinformation.
Thanks. This is the sucky part of your job.

Subject: Accident at Verizon Construction Site
Good afternoon everyone,
As many of you know, Verizon leases a piece of District land behind the bone yard and is currently constructing a cell‐
phone tower. At around 10am this morning there was an accident on the construction site where a contractor working
for Verizon was injured. South Lake Tahoe Fire Department responded and the injured operator was transported to
Barton. No District staff was involved in the accident. My heart goes out to the operator, his family, and all of those who
were on‐site at the time.
Construction work has significant risks and can be dangerous. As we enter construction season I encourage everyone to
be extra careful on jobsites this summer. We will share more information when we can,
