Good morning David,
First and most importantly, the South Tahoe Public Utility District wishes to express our sincere condolences to you and
your staff for the loss of your guy yesterday. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones, and to all of you involved in
the project.
I’m sure this has only added to your challenges in managing your project at this difficult time. We are wondering about
the status of coordinating your work, and specifically your utility trench with the fuels reduction project preparing to
begin in the same vicinity. Our project which is grant funded via the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC), is preparing to
start. There will be a meeting between the CTC and logging contractor on Monday morning at approximately 8:30 to

walk the site. They are particularly concerned about the timing of work for your utility trench and additionally, if there
are any investigative efforts and constraints they should be aware of in your project area.
I know you have planned to reach out to the logging company and discuss coordination efforts that will be mutually
beneficial and we think that would be great. I know this must be an even more difficult time than normal in project
management. We would just like to hear that you guys are talking and have a plan going forward. I have attached the
contact for the fuels reduction project here and will copy in Julie Ryan, our Engineering Department Manager to keep us
all on the same page.
