The Lukins intertie is 10” so the quarterly base charge is $10,590 and the consumptive rate is
$1.62/ccf which is the standard commercial rate.

Thanks for the cost information, very helpful. Looking at KJC’s RFI, the same question concerning
“cost of water purchased from STPUD” was also posited for the LBWC water system. Can you please
also provide the current base and consumption rate charges for the LBWC system, as well?

The current quarterly TKPOA rate for water usage through the 8” intertie is the District’s standard
commercial rate: Base charge = $7,366, Consumption charge = $1.62/ccf.
Our current rate schedules do not include a wholesale rate, so if the District became the permanent
supplier to TKPOA we would have to create one through a rate study. For the purpose of your
feasibility study I would just use the commercial rate we currently have in place for TKPOA.

Hi Tim-
Kennedy Jenks Consultants (KJC) is in the process of developing unit costs that can be used for the
South Y Feasibility Study. KJC is looking for TKWC’s cost of water provided through the District’s
intertie to the TKWC system. It is my understanding that the District provides this water on an
emergency basis, under the Mutual Assistance Agreement between TKWC and the District. Is this
cost for emergency water defined under this Agreement; if so what is it; and can you send me a copy
for my use?
Lastly, can Customer Service provide a planning-level cost based on its current fee schedule that
could be used in the Feasibility Study, should the District become a future wholesale supplier of
groundwater to TKWC through the intertie. I believe this is a 8-inch connection, but should be
verified with U/G Water and/or Pumps.
