AN ORDINANCE FIXING TI~ AMOUNT OP MONEY NECESSARY ~0 BE RAISED BY TAXATION 1951-195R BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, E1 Dorado County, California, as follows~ 1. It is hereby deter~tned that funds are needed to carry out the obJecta and purposes of the District which cannot be pro- vided for out of revenues and, therefore, a tax shall be a~d it is hereby levied for the payment of the expenses of the government of the District, including salaries, office expenses, and other necessary disbursements thereof. 2. I hereby certify t~t the fore~oinE ordinance wa~ passed by the ~ard of DireCts of the South~ahoe public Utility District at a meetln~ thereof held on the ~da~ of ~..~ , 19~1, b~ the followin~ vote~ and in favor thereof, A~, NO~, Dlrec~or~ Dls~ric~ C1UrK and ex-orflcl~.-~cre~ or ~he' Board of DiFeC~orff/ The Bosrd of Directors shall annually levy and collect a tax upon all of the taxable property within said District sufficient to pay the annual interest on the bonds of this issue, and also to pay such part of the principal as will fall due within the succeeding year, as may be neces- sary to provide for the sinking fund payments of the next succeeding year; provided, that when the interest and sink- ing fund payments for any fiscal year on the bonds of this issue can be met out of the surplus earnings of the public utility and utility works for which it was issued, or out of moneys in the general fund of the District and theretofore ap~ropriated and transferred to the sinking fund of such public utility and utility works, no tax shall be levied for such purpose. Bonds of this issue are declared by statute to have the same force, value and use as bonds issued by a munici- pality of this State. The interest coupons attached to each of said bonds and evidencing interest to accrue thereon shall be numbered consecu- -6- tlvely and be signed by the Treasurer by facsimile signature, and said bonds and cou~ons shall be payable at the office of said Treasurer, and said coupons shall be substantially in the follow- ing form: Coupon1 NO. The first maturity or redemption of the bonds to be issued ;ursuant to sa~d Propcsition shall be and commence on July 1, 1953 and co~mencing with said date said bonds shall mature and be redeemed in the consecutive order of their numbering, and on July l~t of each consecutive year, $1,000 in each of the first three years, $2,000, in each of the next three years, $3,000 in each of the next four years, $4,000 in each of the next four years $5,000 in each of the next four years, $6,000 in each of the next four years, $7,000 in each of the next four years, $8,000 for each of the next four years, $9,000 for each of the next four years, $10,000 for each of the next four years, $12,000 for each of the next four years. 17. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted by the Clerk at three public places in said District. It shall also be published twice in the newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published in E1 Dorado County and circulated in said District, the~e being no dal2 or weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and published -7- in said District. Said posting and publication shall commence within three weeks after the date of the adoption hereof. No oth~ notice of said election need be given.
