CME personnel arrived onsite to perform observation and testing as the Vinciguerra crew continued to work on
the Bowers and Bijou waterline replacement projects.
Arrived onsite at 8:00am and found that the Vinciguerra crew was switching gears and were planning on placing
asphalt in the areas that had dug out in front of services and also driveways that had not been replaced. The
contractor also planned on putting the top lift on Osgood.
Asphalt arrived onsite at approximately 11:10am and the began to place the top lift of Osgood. The surface had
been cleaned and completely tacked prior to the placement of the mix. The Vinciguerra crew was using a paver
this time to help speed up the paving. The crew also paved driveways at 1121 and 1205 Fairway. The bottom lift
was placed in the driveway at 1117 Fairway.
Tahoe Asphalt produced 47.27 tons of product ID # 2000 1/2” HMA that the contractor trucked to site. The mix
arrived onsite with a temperature of approximately 270 degrees as it was being placed.
Density testing was performed at 1121 Fairway with satisfactory results and the contractor was notified and the
results can also be seen in this report.
