AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIME AND PLACE OF
~ETINCS, RU~S OF
BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SOUTH TAHOE
PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, GOUNTY OF EL DOlt4~O, STATE OF GALIFOP,.NIA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. DEFINITIONS. Unless the context required
otherwise, the following terms shall have the following m~anings:
"District" shall mean South Tahoe Public Utility District,
County of E1 Dorado, State of Califoz-aia.
"Board" shall mean the Board of Directors of the District.
"President" shall ---an the President of the Board.
"Secretary" shall mean the Clerk amd Ex-officio Secretary
of the Board.
Section 2. MEETING PLACE. All regular ~etings of the
Board shall be held at the general offices of the District, located
at the corner of U. S. Highway No. 50 and Beach Boulevard within
the District.
Section 3. TIME OF MEETINGS. Regular meetings of the
Board shall be held on the first and third Thursdays of every
month, commencing at 7:00 o'clock P.M.; provided, however, that
should any such day fall upon a legal holiday, then said meeting
shall be held at the same time on the next day thereafter ensuing
;hich is not a legal holiday.
Section 4. SPECIAL MEETINGS. Special meetings of the
~oard may be ordered at any time by the Frmsidant or by a majority
of the Board. Written notice of the time and place of such special
meetings shall be delivered personally or by mail to each member of
the Board, and to each local newspaper of general circulation,
radio or television station, requesting notice in writing, at least
twenty-four (24) hours before the time of such meeting, as spe¢ifie~

in the notice. The order and notice shall specify the time and
place of special meetings and the business to be transacted. No
other business shall be considered at such meetinss by the Board.
Such written notice may be dispensed with as to any member of the
Board who, at or prior to the time the meetinS convenes, files
~ith the Secretary a written waiver of notice. Such waiver may be
~iven by telegram. Such notice may also be dispensed with as to an
member who is actually present at the meetins at the time it con-
vene s.
Section 5. ADJOURNED MEETINGS. The Board may adjourn
regular, adjourned regular, special, or adjourned special meetin~
to a time and place specified in the order of adjournment. Less
than a quorum may adjourn from time to time. If all members are
bsent from any regular or adjourned regular meetins, the Clerk or
ecretary of the Board may declare the meetin~ adjourned to a
stated time and place, and he shall cause a written notice of the
adjournment to be given in the same manner as provided in Section
hereof for special meetings, unless such notice is waived, as pro.
ided for special meetings.~ When a regular or adjourned regular
aeetin~ is adjourned, as provided in this section, the resulting
~djourned regular meetin~ is a regular meeting for all purposes.
~hen an order of adjournment of any meetin~ fails to state the hour
~t which the adjourned meetin~ is to be held, it shall be held at
~he hour specified for regular meetings by this Ordinance.
Section 6. PUBLIC MEETINGS. All meeti~l~s of the Board
shall be open and public, and all persons shall be permitted to at-
tend any meetings of the Board, except as provided in Section 54957
of the Government Code of the State of California.
Section 7. ORDER OF BUSINESS. The order of business of
the meetings of the Board shall be as follows:

provided,, however, that the Board may, at any time, in its dis-
cretion, take any matter under consideration out o~ order.
Section 8. SEVERABIEITY. If any article, section, sub-
section, sentence, clause or phrase of ~he order, or ~he applica-
tion thereof to any person or circumstance, is £or any reason held
to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not a[fect
the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance or the ap-
plication of such provisions to other persons or circumstances.
The Board hereby declares that it would have passed this Ordinance
or any article, section, sub-section, sentence, clause or phrase
hereof, irrespective o[ the fact that any one or more articles,
sections, sub-sections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared
to be unconstitutional.
Section 9. REPEAL. Ail ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 10. POSTINg, PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
Upon ad.option, this Ordinance shall be posted in three (3) public
~laces in the District, at least seven (?) days prior to the ex-
piration o[ thirty (30) days from the date o£ its passage, and
shall be published in the IAXE TAHOE NEWS, a newspaper o[ general
circulation printed and published in the District, at least seven
(?) days prior to thirty ($0) days from the date of its passage,
and shall take effect upon the expiration o[ thirty (30) days [rom
the date of its adoption.
