George, Les, and crew White Rock Construction
I arrived onsite and met with George and Les.
Crew began excavating for hot tap connections at saddle rd and Keller rd.
Crew discovered a 4” and 6” unmarked steel line in trench and STPUD supplied bands and asked them to drill them
to verify if live or not. The lines were not live and were cut out to clear space in trenches.
White rock crew cleaned and prepped the water main pipe for hot tap saddles, 10” water main in one trench and
the main reduces to 6” in second trench.
After the crew cleaned, prepped and installed the hot tap saddles the pressure tested sallee connections to 200PSI
and they passed.
Scheduled to have contractor hot tap both connections tomorrow.
Another white rock crew worked on water tank road. They added temporary back fill to transport new floor and
jacks to tank for PRT.
While white rock crew transported new tank floor PRT began setting up jacks and jacking tank up. PRT then began
removing tank floor.
Gravel floor under tank was below grade. White rock crew brought gravel up and helped PRT grade gravel floor.
We also noticed broken roof hardware on gravel floor and did our best to inspect roof from ground level verifying
many locations missing hardware.
Trevor and Buck STPUD inspected the area and began discussing course of action with George White Rock.
Plan to require approved fix for insufficient hardware.
While in the tank I also noticed multiple carbon nuts and bolts that were too short in length. I informed STPUD and
George of deficiencies.
White rock crew: George, Les, Edwardo, Steven, German, Trey, Alex, Jake, Richard, and Dwight.
Equipment onsite: Cat 305 ex, Cat 309 ex, Cat 928 loader, Cat 938 loader, 10 wheel dump truck, 1 ton truck, 1 ton
truck, 4 trench plates, 4 shores, water truck.
