NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION~. FIXING OF RATE OF TAXES~ AND ADDING TO AND MAKING A PART OF THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT LEVIED UPON THE LAND UPON WHICH SEWER SERVICE WAS USED AND CHARGES THEREFOR UNPAID AT THE TIME OF FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES - 1961-1962 FISCAL YEAR 0 BE IT ENACTED BY the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, as follows: 1. It is hereby determined that revenues of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT during the fiscal year 1961-62 are inadequate to pay the principal or interest on the bonded debt of said District as it becomes due during said fiscal year, and that. the interest and sinking fund payments for said fiscal year cannot be met out of surplus earnings for said year for the public utility or public utility work for which said bonds were issued, and that said payments cannot be met out of the monies of the general fund of said District, appropriated or transferred to the sinking fund of the public utilities for which said bonds were issued, and therefore taxes shall be ~vied for such purposes to pay the annual interest on said bonds~ to pay such part of the principal as will fall due in the fiscal year 1961-62 and to provide for sinking fund payments of the next succeeding fiscal year. 2. The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal year~ 1961-62 for the payment of said -1- JCW: g 2139 § 6 ? 8 10 3. O 1.8 ~? BF"~RLY, WEIDMAN & RILEY annual interest on said bonds for said fiscal year and for the payment of such part of the principal as will fall due during said fiscal year, and to provide for the sinking fund payments of the next succeeding fiscal year is ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($155,000.00), and the rate of taxation for said purpose based on the number of cents upon each ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) value of property assessed by the E1 Dorado County Assessor and returned to the Board of Supervisors of said County by the Auditor of said County is hereby fixed by t~he Board of Directors of said District at $0.58 and therefore levied at $0.58 per said ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) assessed v~lue of said property within said District. 5. It is further determined that funds for maintenance and operation of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT during the fiscal year 1961-62 are needed to carry out the objects and° purposes of said District, which said funds cannot be provided out of revenues of said District during said fiscal year. 4. The amount of money necessary to be raised for taxation during the fiscal year 1961-62 for the maintenance and operation of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT needed to carry out the objects and purposes of said District, which said funds cannot be provided out of revenues of said District~ during said fiscal year, is ONE HUNDRED TWENTY ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($121,200.00), and the rate of taxation for said purposes based on the number of cents upon each ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) value of property assessed by the E1 Dorado County Assessor and returned to the Board of Supervisors of said County by the Auditor of said County is hereby fixed by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT at $0.45 and, therefore: levied at $0.45 per said ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) assessed value of said property within said District. -2- 6 8 9 lO ll 15 14 l§ 16 17 18 19 20 ~2 ~4 ~5 ~6 27 ~8 ~9 5O 51 52 BEV~LY~ wEIn~AN & ~ILE¥ 5. It is hereby declared that at the time of fixing the rate of taxes for said fiscal year 1961 - 62 by the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, sewer service was furnished to and used on certain parcels of land upon which the annual assessment is, by this said ordinance levied, and charges thereof unpaid as of the time the rate of taxes for said fiscal year was fixed, the E1 Dorado County Assessor's parcel number, the person owning, controlling or in possession of said certain parcels of land, and the unpaid charges at the time of fixing this said rate of taxes are set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incor- porated herein as though set forth in full. It is further declared that said certain parcels of land are owned, controlled or in the possession of the same person who owned, controlled or was in possession of it during the time such service charges were incurred, or if transfers were made of the property since the date such charges were incurred, such transfers have been made by gift, descent, bequest or devise. 6. It is further declared that said unpaid charges set forth in Exhibit "A" are added to and made a part of the annual assessment levied upon said certain parcels of land therein referred to and shall become a lien upon said parcels of land. It is further declared that the unpaid charges may be added to and become a part of the first installment of the annual assess- ment levied upon said certain parcels of land. ?. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (50) days after its passage. At least one (1) week before the expiration of said thirty (50) days, copies of said ordinance shall be posted by the Clerk of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT at three (5) public places in the said District, and at least one (1) week before the expiration of said thirty (30) days this Ordinance shall be published in the TAHOE SIERRA TRIBUNE, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the said District, 5 '1 $ § ? 8 9 10 11 15 14 15 17 18 19 2O Zl 26 ~8 BEVERLY, WEIDMAN & RILEY one (1) time. 8. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be trans- mitted to the County Auditor of the County of E1 Dorado, State of California, and the County Treasurer of said County upon its adoption.
