Hi Matt,
I saved a copy of the quick log that I left on your desk for Keller and photos from yesterday morning to the
project folder – I was onsite until around noon, crew of five from White Rock, plus Mapca showed up for
the corner review at Saddle and Keller.
A few highlights –
· We want to use the 8” valve that you directed White Rock to order on a new T on the distribution
(low pressure) line in front of the tank access road for when the lines are run up the road next
year. The middle of the T will be pointed toward the road and flanged off. Valve will be on the
southern side of the T. This will avoid having to cut into the new line and will keep the southern
end of Sherman in water when the future connection is made.
· Garth Alling should be out today or tomorrow to look for nesting birds. I’d like to avoid removing
trees or doing serious grubbing until he gets out there – I told Norberg this and he seemed ok with
it.
· George mentioned getting the tank drawn down. We need to confirm that he wants this done,
and I’d like them to talk through their schedule a bit, and have us send the request in writing.
When asking Jeremy to get it drawn down, we also need to coordinate with Jared’s crew to get the
instrumentation removed – I’m not sure if they want to salvage it or save it and have it ready to re-
use on the new tank.
· The redirock blocks for the upper wall have a 10 week lead time. George proposed using keystone
blocks. Based on the location and use, I think it is an acceptable alternative. I’d like to look at the
pricing and potentially get a credit for the swap. I also wondered about doing a stacked rock wall
using native, but I think it would eventually be a maintenance headache. Let me know if you have
any thoughts or another idea.
· I’d like to get USAs going for a blowoff on Crest. George and Matt were onboard with getting it
done.
· Saw a humungous bear near Bonita and Crest. Watch your lunchbox!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Trevor

Subject: Keller - As-Directed T&M Work - Blowoff Installation on Crest Road
Hi Matt, George,
Following up on earlier call - we have a water quality issue in the pressure zone at the end of Crest Road
(map attached). To help address the issue, we would like to have you install a blowoff at the end of the 6”
steel main.
I will coordinate with Matt M. and Matt N. on layout and getting USAs started. I’ve put in a request for a
line trace to our Customer Service Department.
We are interested in having a MainGuard Model #78, 4’ bury depth, installed in a traffic rated box (B1017
or similar) in Crest. If you could please check with your suppliers and advise on availability, I’d appreciate
it. If you can’t get the MainGuard, we will look into other models.
Thank you,
Trevor
