CME personnel arrived onsite at 8:00am.
Arrived on Ham Lane and Jim with Austerman saw fitting was onsite perform cut for trench that had been laid
out previously He had to wait until the contractor could provide someone to run the vacuum behind he saw picking
up spoils. 2 members of the Vinciguerra crew arrived at 8:30am and saw cutting commenced as well return to the
pot hole operation. With no Cal Trans permit it was suggested by the PUD that the saw cut end at back of
sidewalk.
The contractor once again pot holed near the intersection of Ham and Highway 50 to confirm alignment of 2''
water and again try to locate any other utilities including a 6" water. The pot hole was approximately 20' south of
the valve located in Highway 50. They again uncovered the conduits and the 2'' steel water and the unknown what
appeared to be ductile pipe and they also uncovered another ductile pipe running side to side at an angle running
towards the power vault They also searched for the 2'' steel line at what was believed to be the end of the run
where new hydrant is to be located. This is located at 1046 Ham. They went down approximately 50'' and 24''
wide and they did not find anything.
The contractor departed the site and went to work in the yard at approximately 12:30pm.
Took the Black Bart plans and began to walk site, photos will be taken Monday and Tuesday of all water
services that are visible along with problem areas, cracks in driveways and other areas where a home owner might
try to come back on the District.
